Scaling Up The List Super Fast

I was watching Igor Khaefs videos on youtube and several of his students were making $5,000 to $7,000 from emails in their second month, with solo ads and product sales.

Igor was talking a lot about ad-swaps, but with click rate of only 5% and optin rate of say 35% its really impossible to scale list that fast. Approximately you are having 0.05 x 35% = 2% optins relative to your list size. With 2% optins you'll have to do 50 ad swaps per month to double size of your list. Finding 50 people for ad swaps in a month might be impossible.

Plus, I believe, too much ad swapping would ruin quality of your list, both by adding non Tier 1 subscribers and getting to many subscribers who had been already blasted with MMO offers.

Many are looking for shortcuts and end up with crappy lists ... quality list takes money to build.

Also, don't believe everything you see online, there are lots of people who make four or five figures with solo ads and cpa marketing from their list but not in a couple of months. That's right out of the deal, except maybe you have like a five figure investment upfront to scale your list really fast AND you know exactly what you are doing.

But then still you have a lot of competition, everyone and his grandma is trying to sell solo ads these days. You will not only have to supply quality traffic to your customers consistently but you also have to market your solo ad business and supply extraordinary customer experience to keep making sales of solo ad packages.

Of course they will say their students make tons of cash, and about 2% actually will make cash, but they will not talk about the 98% who drop out, go broke while building their list, can't handle their solo ad customers right or lose all their money to some scammer or other ... take the hype with a grain of salt.

    Junkdna,

    Rritz is ssooo right!

Don't think there are shortcuts first off. Sure, you will get smarter and become more effective over time, but too may shortcuts early lead you too missing important aspects that really make you a pro.

I'd rather have a smaller list, but super quality, than a huge list with crap contacts.

Of course, it's also going to depend on your target. There's a big difference to targeting biz opp, vs. survivalists, vs. weight loss. So you want a list that is specific to the needs of your product, or the product you're representing.

I know this sounds basic, but too often people just want a huge list. That may not be you, but I thought it worth mentioning, just in case.

Here's my philosophy: Build it once, build it right and build it to last.

When you do that, it will pay you dividends for years to come.

    to your prosperity,

    Tony

I agree. Quality in the building of it -- and in the learning as you go -- and you'll be ready to adapt to the inevitable bumps and changes along the way.
