QUESTION? - Is There An Easier Way To Write Email Followups and Broadcast Messages For Any Niche?

Hi guys,

I run a bodybuilding blog and a dating blog and I am quite happy with the amount of traffic I'm getting through google, yahoo, msn, bing, social media traffic etc. On average I get around 10-15 subscribers on each of my email lists and it's making me on average $1000 a month. (still far from quitting my day time job though )

...But my weakest area is actually compiling a emails into my auto-responder follow up series.

I would love to spend more time writing emails and adding them to my follow up series and sending out broadcasts everyday procrastination seems to be getting the best of me. I literally takes me 2-3 hours to write a decent email.

I have tried to outsource to get writers to write my emails for me, but a lot of them do a poor job at it and I have to keep searching for good writers. I have been using sites like Fiverr and Iwriter but had to reject the garbage they sent me back...and I usually pay between $20-$25 for a 1000 word article.

I know I'm a pretty good writer, but since I'm already making a decent income online I want to free up more time In my day to do other things I enjoy. I know their is a lot of money made out of building an email list, right now I got over 2000 subscribers, with high open and click-through rates on each list but ROI is low, due to poor ad copy and not been consistent with email marketing.

Is there actually an easier way to write good emails that people enjoy reading. I find it difficult to sit down and write a good email, or know what to write for that matter.

What do you think of the idea of subscribing to your competitors email list and getting some ideas from the type of emails they send out? I have actually tried this but I feel it isn't authentic with me at all.

I also promote products from sites like affilate window, JV zoo and clickbank. Even though I earn good commissions from these sites I still find it very time consuming to create my own product.

It requires a lot of research, writing and creating landing pages, sales funnels that I just don't have time to do right now. Even though I know I have all the technical skills and tools to do it myself.

But once I start earning more $$$$ online, I can spend a lot more time creating my own products.

EMAIL MARKETING CONTENT RESEARCH QUESTION....

Anyone think ezine articles is a good place to find ideas to write email content for your subscribers? Maybe Youtube videos? Yahoo answers?

Is there actually a really good video series/tutorials that teaches people how to write simple, effective emails to their list, no matter what niche their in? I have yet to come across one that I like. I would definitely be interested if their is (paid or free). Writing really good ad copy is just something I need to pay more attention too.

So yes, I am generating some income, but I know I could be doing a whole lot better with email marketing and a better way to promote products to double or triple my monthly income.

Would love to hear your thoughts on this.

Really appreciate all the contributions that people make on this forum to help others in need. That's exactly one of the reasons why this is #1 internet marketing forum on the internet. Some amazing people on here.

Thanks a lot!

Imo if what you are doing now works if you switch it up you risk changing your results.

I find with writing content (including emails) there are only two ways to properly do this - either write it yourself or outsource it.

    Commissioner,
Check out BenSettle.com and see if that doesn't light a fire under you... It should answer the procrastination problem and at the very least you'll have 24 kickass ideas for email subjects for free and simply by being on his list you'll see how he does it everyday. Effectively.

Also, and case in point, there are plenty of ways to research email content, (I'll have a wso mentioning that very soon all you really, really need to do is go back to your market. Make each pain-point or desire the subject or theme of an email. For starters, make a list of 20 desires and 20 problems your niche/customers/subscribers have and you've got the makings of 40 emails right there.

I trust this helps you. Good day

I think that being on your competitors list is great! I used to be on to many lol, but it definitely has helped me to get a feeling of what others are constantly writing about.

Therefore I was able to come up with my own ideas. What I noticed by myself and a coach of mine told me that as well, is that trying to be a perfectionist will be a huge roadblock to success.

80% is good enough. Don't overcomplicate things with the content. Take a couple minutes (not 2-3 hours) and crank out what's on your mind. Go over it a second time and revise it a little and just hit send! It's always better to make imperfect action than none.
