I'm targeting MLM through multiple feeder lists and getting virtually 100% response rates on the primary list.

Not 100% sure what you are asking.

I heavily promote PPL (pay per lead) offers. Which is simply lead generation offers. Been doing it for over 16 years.

I favor offers that have a make, get or save money benefit to them. As they are what have overall worked the best for me. There is no credit card / purchase required. All a user has to do is fill out a form, so conversions are typically much higher than offers that require a sale to be made.

Verticals that I have done extremely well with are: insurance, education, debt, credit, loans, mortgage, assistance, discount offers, homeowner offers, etc...

I also promote website sign up (dating is the best for me). Free trials + S&H (weight loss for example).

I do a very limited number of actual products. With products, they either have to be something unique that you can't get locally (once it's in Walmart, it's dead). A product that offers a deep discount / savings or a product that solves a house is on fire type problem.

I start out with a target list for a specific lead vertical, then once all the users have seen the ad a certain number of times, over a specific period, then all the openers / clickers start getting ads for the other offers on the backend.

The key to the above is that all the offers have to have to have mass appeal (will be of interest to a large general audience). That way it's possible to cross promote them, even when they aren't related.

However, once I start cross promoting, I have a unique way that I do it, so that it doesn't seem like I'm just sending them offers. Rather I'm letting them know about something that could be important and useful to them. That way rarely does anyone complain.

The only exception is dating. I've had significant others reply back and tell me to not send using some choice words. But I've also had click to conversions as high as 26%-28% for dating offers. With the lowest conversions typically being around 12%-15%.

Anyway, as I said I've been doing the above for over 16 years and it really works extremely well. Plus I do it using purchased 3rd party data, not opt-in lists that I build.

I am sorry that you got a little confused by the title line of the thread.... I have changed the title to make it more clear for the readers.... On the other hand its interesting know about your pay per lead marketing strategy.... have you done it using email marketing? Or you are using different traffic sources for getting leads?

All I have ever done is promote PPL offers via email marketing. Been doing it for over 16 years.

However, I acquire fresh / targeted 3rd party data rather than building opt-in lists.

If you're not familiar with it, it is simply data that the users have provided permission to receive messages from third parties. So it is 100% can-spam compliant.

It's not without its own challenges but IMO, it's far more cost-effective in the long run, as it's cheaper, quicker and highly scalable compared to building your own opt-in lists. Granted, the data isn't as responsive as building your own highly targeted opt-in list, but the lower cost offsets it.

The key is that you want to always be segmenting openers / clickers - removing unresponsive users. That way you are building smaller, but much more responsive smaller lists. Which you should eventually be able to send less and make more with each mailing. Essentially you are converting the data from quantity to quality.

Basically, I'm monetizing data which is really more of a business model than traffic strategy.
