I've started doing affiliate marketing so far with Jvzoo. I'm wondering if I'm able to do email marketing or not & how to do?
Thank you very much!

    yes! 110% you can.

I'm a firm believer that email engagement is the largest revenue source of all time for affiliate marketers and holds a significant chunk of the affiliate marketing revenue pie.

Just be weary though, some ESP's don't like you sending out affiliate links so you do need to either cloak them, or find an ESP that lets you (GetVero, Sendlane, MailChimp etc...)

Have you started building an email list yet? That should be your first priority.

Really depends on where you're marketing from, I'd recommend checking out Pretty Links (it's a wordpress plugin if you're using wordpress). Basically 301's to your affiliate links. It's also pretty easy to create redirect links from your CPanel

The main ways for building an email list that I know of are:
      • Creating a squeeze page that offers a free report in exchange for their email
      • Create a strong newsletter series to put into your autoresponder
      • Drive traffic to your squeeze page via paid and unpaid traffic

      Is my understanding correct?

You could try leadpages or instapage.
These are both great services for creating landing pages that convert.

    Sure you can,

    Get Aweber, or Get Response.

Put together some freebie that you can give a away.

Could be a pdf, or video.

For example, you could lay out a strategy on how to effectively re-purposed you content.

And then in the report you could recommend a video maker.

Of course it does not have to be this--it could be anything.

Set up the squeeze page and start driving traffic to it.

Then once people start subscribing--give them good information--and do not over blast them with sales pitches and you will be well on your way to having a list you can make money from for years to come.

Lastly, it would be a good idea to have, say, a good seven emails already done that you can start sending them--once they opt-in.

I am not one to email too often I would send one-per-week, but, I know you will get different opinions on this.

Best thing you can do, is to keep going and not give up.

    GO FOR IT!

The main thing I've learned about email marketing, after studying like my life was on the line...

Is that it's always about your end user demographic!

Study your end users - better than anyone else - so you can communicate with them in a way that nobody else can.

    Always ask yourself:
    1. What problems are your subscribers really having?
    2. What's the TOP THING that irritates them?
    3. Where do they hangout online, and when they're there, what questions are they asking?
    4. What are they REALLY afraid of?

If you can answer those questions, then I'm so confident in your ability to achieve.

Just remember, to NEVER stop studying your end users.

They want your help, and so few others are actually willing to help them.

    :]

    Wishing you the utmost best...

Surely you must of heard the money is in the list by now, of course you can email market, and there are many good advice's on that in the relevant parts of this forum. So as you sell products your list will build.

However I feel I must warn you JVZoo are cookie stuffing and using the parent company BBC as an affiliate. Something else I noticed they list rent, and your inbox gets spammed.

Yes, you can do email marketing and insert some affiliate marketing on it. First, establish a niche. Then, build a website and subscribe to an ESP. Then build your list, and send them great deals and attach respective affiliate links to it.

Obviously there is no reason I see that you cannot jump into email marketing..... All you need is a good email service provider company with proper support and infrastructure ...... Normally emailing is not a rocket silence to understand specially for person with an internet marketing background you just need one or 2 blast to get the complete overview about how it works.....

    Wish you best of luck

Yes, you can do email marketing with it. Create your website and subscribe to an email service provider (it's also one way to keep your identity and track progress well). Then, build your list and send your list with emails containing your affiliate links. Just make sure your email content is brief and rich enough. And create a notion that people should grab what you're selling, while it's hot. Good luck!

Of course a newbie can do email marketing. It's not Rocket Science. All you need to do is get the information that's needed to set yourself up properly and you're on your way. The key is in the List!! Now there are plenty of services out there that can train you properly, or you can dig up all the information you need on your own. That's up to you. Take the time to go about this the right way, so you don't have to repeat yourself, as I did, when I started out. I just went willy-nilly and dived in, losing time and money in the process. LOL!!! You have at least asked the most basic, and fundamental, question, and you're looking for good advice, answers that you can follow. I salute you and wish you all the best in your sojourn.

The key is in the List, and you create the List through email marketing. Now, there are plenty of services out there that can help you in your quest, or you can do the research on your own. Whatever is best for you. I believe that the prepared mind achieves the best results. Don't go into this thing willy-nilly, as I did, because you'll find yourself wasting a lot of time and money. I salute you because at this stage you are well ahead of me when I started. I never thought to even ask this question. I wish you well on your sojourn.

Email marketing is still the best way to engage and grow a list of prospects.

You may want to create a lead magnet that adds to the value of whatever product you are selling as an affiliate so you are promoting that product to those prospects interested in the topic of that affiliate product.

On a related question, let's say that a newbie has prepared a squeeze page and newsletter series of 30 emails in their autoresponder. Can you add new emails to an autoresponder series so they go out to existing subs on your list? And then add your existing subs to receive these new emails as per the new sequence you've set up for them?

    I'd say yes

Why do you think you cant?

    & how to do?
Other replies here or elsewhere on this forum or using Google search, can identify the actual email marketing steps you seek.

Suggest you use a recognised email provider (aweber, getresponse) and not your personal email address ie yahoo or gmail to send out your emails

Like many have already said, yes anyone can do email marketing. But you do need to have a legit subscribed database to begin.
I started affiliate marketing a month back, so far EDM is giving me the best CTR.

I have recently put an article together about email marketing on my blog (pinchofsocial.com).

Let me know if you need any further help.

Yes you can! Its better to build your own VPS for sending affiliate mailers rather than using Mailchimp, Getresponse. These guys would randomly shut down your account without any intimation if the abuse rates go high. Its takes some time and efforts to set up a VPS, once done its an icing on the cake. I have been receiving 15 to 20% Open rates constantly on my VPS.

    Yes, why not!
You must be concerned that a newbie will not have a database, so they will be unable to do email marketing. But, this is absolutely wrong.
Be it a new company or an old one, email marketing can be conducted easily and successfully with the support of a good digital marketing company like Techmagnate. Their professional team of designers, content writers and technical leads provide effective and affordable email marketing services.

Yes, you can do it, even though you just started it. However, make sure you have a lot of email contacts for a meaningful conversion rate. Most of the email marketers have millions of email contacts to blast their email marketing campaigns.

Yes, you sure can...anybody is welcomed. Everyone started as a newbie somewhere. I would recommend to use a blog to capture leads to your subscriber list. That way the value you offer on your blog makes people ready to sign up for whatever else you may have, which makes their pockets open to buy from you. The goal is that they are able to trust you enough before they can give you their emails and credit cards.

    Hope this helps.

    All the best,

You sure can. Email is HUGE. It's a vital part of modern marketing. I'd highly suggest going through Digital Marketer's blog. They give out lots of free advice on email marketing best practices.

The way you'll get sign-ups is primarily through a "lead magnet" or an ethical bribe that you give away in exchange for the privilege to email someone from a newsletter.

Have you thought about what that might be?

    Ideas:

    -Cheatsheets
    -Short guides
-Mico courses (2-3 videos talking about how to develop a skill/do a task)
    -Case studies
    -Webinars (advanced)
