Automated Testing of an old list !?

Hope everybody had a great,productive and profitable weekend !

I have a question regarding a very old email list ( 7 years and older) that I haven't used for a long time.
This list has never been imported to an email campaign provider like mail chimp , constant contacts or similar and I hardly doubt it would be accepted. I know those providers have a way to test list before you even send the first email campaign so they can see the bounce rates and will even accept the list or not..

So I hardly doubt this list would be accepted, would there be another way / application / provider to check the list. ( About 20k ) so no way I can do it manually.

Thanks for any thoughts..

    If you are determined to test it, you could have a list hygiene service clean it.

    However, it's highly unlikely that data that old is worth bothering with.

    Also, because of its age, it's very possible that some user accounts have become spam traps. While cleaning the data can reduce such threats, there is no guarantee to eliminate them 100%.

      The reason I still want to give it a try, is because I had very big success with this list for a particular nitch and it would take me a very long time or alot of money to get those kind of emails so I want to give it a try.

      @Diablo Thanks for just mentioning the tearm list hygiene service , because of your expertise, I was able to find neverbounce and will try it our..
      will let you guys know if it works or if I have to find another service.

        Does Nevebounce clean threats?

        Their pricing seems pretty high!

      I will try neverbounce as a cleaning/testing service and let you guys know.

      I will then import them in a service ( proberbly not in my account at mail chimp to mess up my unsubscribe or complaint rate)
      ... but a service there I can trap the statistics and maybe have a trackable link in the email as well
