can anyone recommend a good maillist controller and/or email send settings?

Hey all. I've been a freelance publicist for several years now and business has finally got to the point where I've hired an employee, with plans to hire another very soon. So I finally have the time and (extra) incentive to look at how to take every aspect of my business to the next level, and being in a business that revolves around email, my database and my email program is priority number one by a long shot. FYI: I use Office 365 on Windows 7.

In my business it's extremely important that the people I email feel like they are receiving a personal email. For this reason, services like MadMimi are no good for me. I've been using the paid version of ArcLab Maillist Controller to email groups of several hundred at the most, at the rate of one email a minute, with a couple of personalized fields thrown in. I do get replies on those campaigns, but nothing special. My domain reputation is in the high 90s.

The other day I emailed a bunch of them manually, and got a lot of replies saying that basically the vast majority of everything I sent them via ArcLab went into their spam folders. What am I doing wrong? Is there a way to make ArcLab work better? Maybe increase the time between email sends? A few different titles and body texts per campaign? Maybe a whole other program and toss ArcLab in the trash? Is there a MadMimi press release-type service that can also send extremely personal looking emails at different send rates a la ArcLab?

While I'm at it:

-Can anyone recommend a good plugin for Outlook that will automatically send a followup email to a contact I emailed if he/she doesn't reply in x days?
-How about a good email verifier?

Sorry for a bit of an unfocused post here. Now that I'm not just running around putting fires out all day, there's just so much about my email game that needs tightening up and I'm eager to get on it.
