Gmail Postmaster Tools

Does anyone here use the postmaster tools from google for gmail?
Our company is having very low open rates from our gmail subscribers. Trying to use postmaster tools to see what's going on with our spam rate, IP reputation, Domain reputation and more. Since this is new to me I'm not sure how to read what the dashboard is showing, or even if it's configured correctly or not.

Please reply if you have experience with the postmaster tools.

I'd like to know more about that too.

I get zero spam complaints from gmail users - that's what the dashboard says. All the other data is good too - but IP and domain reputation is "Bad"

Don't know what to do with this data nor how to improve

Let's hope an expert joins this group so we can find out how to fix the bad reputations. What ESP are you using? Are you using a shared IP, or dedicated?

Could be the emails hitting the junk folder already, you can not report spam to an email on junk folder.

Hi Sendizo, you are probably correct. Not a good thing if that's the case and I feel strongly that it is. So, basically, if your sender score, or reputation is bad then gmail and some of the other ISP's will just think you are spam and send you there? We do get an open rate of around 12%, but that is low, so some of our emails get to the inbox. But a good chunk of them are probably going to the junk folder, correct?

rritz, I keep monitoring the postmaster dashboard, not much changes, but today it did. Not in a good way. Spam rate went from zero to 0.2%. Our email on Tuesday had an unusually high number unsubs, over 200. So, I think that was the trigger that bumped it up.

I've been using this recently, but haven't found it too helpful. It seems like there is a lot of missing information, or sometimes data will show up on a delay. My IPs will show a "bad" reputation, but my spam rate is 0. I'm not sure how reliable it is...

Yes, same here. The only thing that I think might come in useful would be to get these spam complaint rates - if they are accurate.

all the rest of the data seems random, missing info, and gives no help, as it doesn't show me how I could improve it - say a bad domain reputation. What does it mean, where does it come from and what do i do about it ...
