Which plugin can I use to give access to a free e-book after e-mail is given?

Guys,

Does anyone know a good plugin for WordPress to accomplish this goal?
I want people to redirect to a page, where they can access the download.
Currently i use sumome for this, but it seems to be slowing down my website.

    A lower tech way to do this that works is simply to use a post on your WordPress site.

    I agree with CynthiaSEL a post or page on your Wordpress site will serve to host the download link for the free ebook.

    The optin form should take them to the two step optin . That page which tells them to check email and click the link in the email gets them onto your mailing list. That click should take them to the page that allows the down load. It will be a simple ebook cover image that is the download link from your media library URL of the ebook you would have loaded as media.
    Want to monetize that download page? put a couple affiliate link images on your download page just below the ebook download.

    I've done this using Wordpress using a couple of different methods. I used to use a plugin called SendPress. This allows you to have a double opt-in. On the double opt-in email (basically the thank you for subscribing email), add a link to a page within Wordpress, which the download link will be accessed.

    I now use MailChimp to do this for me, using the some principle. I use MailChimp now as I get a better delivery rate using their services. This can be done using any mailing service such as Aweber, GetResponse etc.

    You can easily use Wordpress to create a download link. Just upload your document to Media and copy the source link.
