MailChimp Update the Preferences Issue

Hi,

Use case:
Implemented the mailchimp functionalities with free account.
I am able to fill the form, get confirm subscription email and subscribed to list.
Now I click "Update the preferences" link and change the email.
http://kb.mailchimp.com/lists/signup...their-profiles

The email gets changed without sending the confirmation email to the updated email.

Is there a way to handle this case?

    When the subscriber clicks the link in the email, we'll take them to a preferences screen that's pre-populated with their current profile information. They'll be able to make any changes they want, and click Update Profile when they're done.

      Hi fnazari,

      Yes that is the issue, they are able to change whatever they want.

      If they enter other's email and save. It gets updated.

    There is alternative for that if you want to confirm whether the email is updated or not; try doing:
    1: Account Settings
    2: Click the Settings drop-down menu and choose Verified domains.
    3: Click Verify a Domain
    A verification email will be send to the registered email with Mailchimp.
