Squeeze page or Optin capture on my blog post

I see many experts suggest that it's best to send visitors to squeeze pages directly and to start creating your email list. In my case I direct people to my blog post and then an optin pop up. Do you think that I'm making a mistake by not using a squeeze page directly? Thanks

Nope. That's what most internet marketers do.

Everyone will tell you that it depends on the page, the niche, your visitors, etc. but this is not true.

The way you do it, your visitors start reading your posts, and if they like your content, then it's easier for them to subscribe.

All you really need is quality content.

PS. Just checked your site at your signature: a lot of mistakes there, an empty home page, and several other problems. You need someone to proof-read your posts.

Do you know A/B test? You can try to send traffic to your squeeze page to see how many optins you can get each campaign and at the same time you can send traffic to your blog to see how many optins you can get each campaign...you compare, you will know the difference. You have to keep trying and keep testing and keep comparing...

I would not trick your blog follower by having them opt-in before sewing your content. It creates distrust and will result in a bad start to a relationship.

Quality content sell your form for you

You do exactly what you are telling him not to do. You have a squeeze page without any quality content.

And, in fact, on your squeeze page (which is bad according to you) you say that you don't have to write any unique content but here you say you do.

Do as I say and not as I do?

It will depend on your marketing strategy and the traffic sources you are actually using.

For example, if you are using solo ads / PPC ads, the better option would be to send your visitors to a squeeze page, offer them a freebie or an e-course and at the end of the follow up email sequence, you can then send them to your blog posts for more traffic to your blog.

If you are using certain ad networks such as Taboola, then sending them to one of your blog post first will be better. Do include your opt-in form at the top / at the top right of your blog so that your visitors can subscribe to your blog.

When you do blog commenting, you will want to build backlinks for your main website, thus you will be directing them to your main website instead of squeeze page.

At the end of the day, you need to test your campaigns and determine which strategy is right for you.

There is no definite YES or NO in IM. Split testing it yourself will yield better results because what works for one marketer will not work for another.

Trust me on this, it will be very eye opening for you the same like it has been for me.
