  • I will mail twice in a month, but I heard with most of the top list builders they used to mail monthly once.
What about other list builders ?

I send mail twice a week to my subscriber, but actually, I send every day.
I separated my list into 3 groups, each day I send mail to one group rotary, so, every subscriber will receive my email once in 3 days.

I would do it once a week.
For specific offers, or promotion (launching day) it could be 3/wk.

    i email EVERY DAY.

    In the launch process twice.

    WHY?

Cause it has been dimonstrated that mailing every day can cause you only one thing: make more money!

I mean when we're appassionate about tv movie, how many times do we expect to watch it? Every day...

When we're interested about something we often want to read about it every day.

So for creating engagement we need to email the list every day.

Saying that consider that there are mainly 3 types of mail:

Content Emails: for deliverying your best value content

Engagement Emails: for saying about you, about something you're passionate about relating to your niche, to the last uptrend etc. create emotion. passion. it's all about that. we trust friends, not stranger, make the relationship closer.

Promotional Emails: where u endorse products you believe in or your products.

So, for being passionate about something we need constant news and interaction with that item.

So mail EVERY DAY and dont be afraid to make money with promotional emails!

Once per day while they go through the autoreponder sequence and the every other day with broadcast.

I mean people can opt out. I set expectation in my welcome email and thank you page. I found this frequency builds rapport and allows me to sell more. Ive tried everything from spam to monthly... For me this has been the best combination after 13 years of emailing people.

Everyday ... if you mail once a month they will never know you at all. Its like someone else said if you like the show Friends do you watch it once a month? When you are mailing everyday you should have something great to spread... you have to keep interesting or you will be pasted by. If you are into internet marketing then you shouldnt have a problem.... there is something going on everyday. Mail!!

    One email a day.

You are an email marketer, the day you do not send any mails, you do not make any money.

Even if you do not want to send promo emails daily, send emails to build a relationship with them.

Once a month or less. If I got a product launch or other REALLY exciting news, then maybe twice in the same month. Emailing them any more than that is asking to be marked as spam. Most people claiming to email *harass* their readers more than once a week are probably not very successful.

Most people don't want to be emailed unless you have something for them...at the very minimum, a new blog post. If you blog twice a month, and your reader notices your email but doesn't open it until a week later....there's a very good chance he might have opened late enough to see both your posts that month and don't need another email harassing him. Also, if your reader loves your stuff and visits daily, they don't need to be reminded again either.

Now what if your reader ISN'T visiting your site daily. That means you're not valuable to him. Do you think he's gonna want to be harassed by you that much?

  • It depends. First, you should have a different freq for different segments. How do you find that freq? By testing. If you have only one segment then it also depends on the nature of the newsletter. What you surely don't want is to send a newsletter full of ads 3 times a week if the receivers didn't show you enough interest about something. Generally, there are tons of variables for a successful email marketing strategy.

There is no right answer. It really depends on what your list will deem acceptable.

You need to test and see what your stats tell you. You want to keep your complaints / unsubscribes at an acceptable rate VS the income you generate.

Couple things I would also recommend is...

Resend every mailing to those that don't open. Then do it again, over and over for those that don't open. You do want to be careful not to be resending and getting really low open rates. This can affect your future inboxing.

So for those that you have the biggest problem getting to open. Test sending to them using a free gmail account. It's just a fact that a free gmail account probably has the best deliverability that exists. If you then still can't get an open, then remove those addresses.

Also keep in mind that when using a free gmail account, you need to run your own open, click, unsubscribe scripts or use a service like gmass.

Note: you can setup like 10 gmail accounts using a single phone number. So that gives you like 5000 per day that you could test with.

In the end, you can significantly increase your opens for your messages. Even if you are getting 40%-50% open rates. That's still 50%-60% that didn't open.
