Marking Emails going into junk folder

I have recently finished uni and have started a job in marketing. One of my roles is to send marketing emails, which we are doing through AWeber. We keep having the problem pf emails being delivered into our junk boxes. I have asked AWeber about this, they said we had multiple spf records which could be effecting it. We have now set up a domain with just the one SPF record but still seem to be having the same problem. Has anyone else had this happen to them? or have any ideas on how to prevent this?

What type of content are you trying to send?
What kind of seed account are you using? You should be using an account on your own domain and not a free service account like gmail etc.

Two things...email content is KEY - check for spam
Second - send autoresponders NOT broadcast until the account is warmed up.

Are you sending to consumer or corporate addresses?

1: Make sure your emails have very low Spam Index. Avoid words like FREE (ESPECIALLY IN CAPS).
2: File Hygiene. Clean up your file. Make sure your not sending to functioal addresses like info@xxxx.
3: Create a fresh domain e.g instead of yourcompany.com. Use your-company.com, start it with autoresponders

Hotmail takes 4-6 months to warm up on good behavior - I spoke with the Senior Email guy there.

You need to look at all the email headers of all the major ESP's to see how the different spam engines rate your email.

What domain(s) are you having the problem with?

There's always a reason why mail hits the spam folder. It's just a matter of figuring it out and correcting.

      Hotmail/outlook are the biggest douches!!!

Hotmail use to be the easiest to inbox until 2010. Now they suck.

What percentage of hotmail/outlook is your list?

From my experience, I'm seeing maybe 5% or so. So I don't sweat it too much.

Tell users to check their spam folder and whitelist your address.

One other thing I do is, all addresses that consistently don't open, I export them and bang them out through free gmail accounts. Nothing beats the deliverability. You will inbox hotmail/outlook no problem.

For Hotmail, make sure to add your IP address to their SNDS network. That way they will tell you exact reason why your mail is being blocked and what are issues with your IP addresses

Have they given you any suggestions on how to fix it? they don't seem to be very helpful when I ask them about possible solutions I have come up with. They just say its different for everyone so you just have to try and see what happens

my account with them is still relatively new and my list size is small, so they told me they could address it once I start scaling. Very frustrating
