How to build an email list for free?

The title says it all. At this moment I don't have a big budget to invest in paid traffic. What free strategies do you use? Thanks

    i think you can use Content Marketing, build a website with the helpful content to attract customers and collect their email. it needs more time to research and build but free ( or low budget).

    As said above, content marketing is the way to go. You need to create well-written articles with over 1,000 words, choose the right keywords and wait for the search engines to index them and push them to their first page. In your homepage you should have an optin form to collect emails, and then sell affiliate products to those who will subscribe.

    The problem is that you will need time for all this and you will have to live for long without making anything or with making a little.

      Why articles?

      As a subscriber why do I need articles? What does that do for me?

      Why does everyone on this forum act like articles matter for generating traffic?

      Really I know why, it all started with ezinearticles IM spam.

      The reason traffic subscribes to an email list is because they want to be part of something relevant. That's all that matters... and that something relevant can be any type of content (downloads, videos, images, data dumps, etc...).

    If you already have a landing page and don't have money to promote it, use any of the following free methods to promote it:

    Promote it on twitter in form of tweet pinned to your profile, then do things that will get interested people to checkout your profile, such as following interested people, tweeting with relevant hashtag etc.

    Promote it on facebook page using pinned post. Get interested people to like the page.

    Promote it on relevant forums signature.

    When I first started list building I did not get great results. First I tried too many methods all at the same time and had no idea if I was even doing them right.

    Then I notices a pattern that all Top Marketer used. And I started to copy it.

    It works with any platform in which you can message your contacts. For example when people would spam me the Biz on facebook I would thank them for their time and offer them a FREE Marketing Software(cuz the obviously needed help). This allowed me to generate 1500 - 2000 leads per month using only free marketing platforms. Linkedin, Twitter, IBOtoolbox, Forums and many others.

    There are 2 keys to success with this method.

    1. You must have a high quality value giveaway.
    2. You must share 100+ times per day everyday
    3. Be patient and stick with it
