Solo Ads - Can it work for my offer

I'm exploring different ways of driving traffic to my offer which I think just needs to get some good eyes on it to be a success but I'm not sure if solo ads are going to be a good fit.

Does anyone have an opinion on whether my offer is going to be a good match with solo ads or do you think I waste my money?

Anyone ??

Solo ads may aid you but one of the best ways to generate interest in your offer is to show off what you know about your niche through a self hosted Wordpress blog and by building your friend network, to leverage your presence and expand your reach.

Think of it this way: speak to folks specifically interested in what you offer. You can do it through solo ads but the folks will generally not be as qualified as folks you attract to you through your helpful content, and expanded friend network.

Test it out - no one can give you a concrete answer unless they tested it out themselves, in which case they probably won't tell you.

That's a good point and for a couple of hundred bucks it's probably worth a tester anyway.

I reached out to one Solo ads guy and he flat out said his list would not work because his list is the the make money online crowd. Which is odd because my offer is definitely suited to people who want to make money online.

Yeah, exactly - just make sure to get some good Solos. I don't have much experience with them, but there are FB groups and online sites that vet quality Soloads.

That's weird - I would've said the same thing. I guess it's a positive thing he stopped you from spending money though.

Well, I am not trying to discourage you, but solo ads have never worked for me. May be, source of solo ads that I use are not good enough. By the way, I used Udimi and it never ever worked.

This type of offer can work for solos because it fits in the MMO niche.

And most solo vendors these days deal with that niche.

Check out Udimi.com and you can also do a search on FB for solo testimonials to find some pretty good vendors.

Another thing you can do is make a video about your service and show potential clients about this service on Facebook. Just create a fan page under your main account with the same name as your website business so you can do paid ads and boost.

Your service is kind of like Fiverr, where they are using your platform to promote their services, so you could mention that as well as most people these days have heard of Fiverr.

    Hope this helps!

    Cheers,

My 2cents contribution: you actually have to test to verify, and it depends on the solo vendor how their email list was built and the niche.

Go to facebook groups and search solo testimonials and work with those that said they got sales.

    It might help!!!

I think that solo ads are great for creating an email list.
For sales not so much if you get a sale then you got lucky. But there's no harm in trying it out but I would be careful which vendor to go to for solo ads because there are a lot of scammers in the industry.

    Good luck!

In my experience, the leads you'll get from a solo ad bought through facebook, udimi etc. are 99% fortune hunters, people who are addicted to shiny objects.

They will click on any offer that promises money on autopilot. They are lured into subscribing with ridiculous claims and bogus get rich quick schemes.

They are the victims-to-be of every Make-Money-Quick scam.

Maybe one in 1000 solo ads lead is the right kind for your business.

Think of it like this ... someone who joins a reseller program has to figure out how to find prospects, how to market to them and how to convert them - on a regular basis so they can make a living or even make back their investment.

The regular solo ad lead has no idea how to do this and doesn't WANT To KNOW
They couldn't even sell a glass of water to a half dead of thirst wanderer in the desert ... and they'd think it too much effort to even try.

There probably are solo ad sellers who have the kind of leads you really want - people who have a business spirit, enterprise, money to invest and time to get a business up and running.

Google for solo ads and find people like Igor Kheifets or Roy Tay.

Even better, get in touch with some of the people who sell similar products to yours on JVZoo or Clickbank and discuss an email drop with them. These vendors usually have huge email lists of buyers, almost buyers, prospects ...
If you can get a deal with any of these vendors, the solo ad will be worth every penny you spend.

I'd also add another thought here:

To make a solo ad work you need a funnel.
You have to capture email addresses, give out a download related to your product
and you need a follow up email sequence leading up to the sell.

Solo ads are emails ... these people are USED to BEING MARKETED TO VIA EMAIL

Stick to this and you'll make a go of it.
Try and send a solo ad directly to your reseller account page and you'll waste your money.

The offer is much too complex to convert anyone directly rom an email.
    That's my opinion anyway.

You need to educate people first about why they want to join your business.

What can they get out of it? How is this better that 19098872 other offers and online business models they have already seen in the past year?

What success did other people have with this ... you get the picture.

Well, what better way to do this than via email

I agree with Ryan. I would setup a self-hosted WordPress blog. Post valuable content that solves people's problems. The purpose of buying solo ads (in my opinion) is to build an email list first then eventually monetize those subscribers. Most marketers try to send cold solo ad traffic to a lead capture page then once the visitor opts in they try to sell to them on their "thank-you" page right away. You make money online by building relationships. It takes time.

Depends on the niche you're promoting, make sure it's a good fit for the solo ad provider's list, also check in with them to know when was the last time they promoted a similar offer to their list, this is to avoid saturation. If they add 300+ leads daily to their email lists and product is a good fit, then you're good to go, always drive traffic to your landing page and not directly to the product as solo ad traffic is basically cold traffic and getting it to convert on the front-end is not easy specially if your front-end product isn't a low ticket one. You want to build a relationship with your subscribers, give value and then promote.
