Mike, you should research muscle building sites, including Facebook and see what people are talking about currently. Join some relevant forums and see what people are asking.

Based on that info create a value product that is going to answer these questions.

As far as getting a free Rare idea here... If the idea is rare why would anyone want to share it with you. Nobody even knows you yet...

    Hey Mike,

Find some muscle building forums and see what questions the members are asking. You can answer these questions in your report.

Also, go to some gyms and ask the folks who are actively working out and building muscle.

Take a look through muscle magazines for more ideas as well.

Just a few ideas, I hope they help.

    Good luck and take care,
    Allan

Allan touched on an excellent method, mainly because so few marketers want to spend the time and effort to do it.

Get off the net, shut down your computer, and talk to real people. Talk to gym owners, personal trainers, gym members, competitors, physical therapists, etc.

If you stick to a couple of popular forums and the first couple of pages of Google like everyone else, you'll get the same ideas and information as everyone else.

I'm in this niche and might I recommend 'Niche'ing down.'

Bodybuilding is more than a sport, it's really a lifestyle with really unique groups of people that are very ingrained into their school of thought.

    You have:
    Natural VS Juicers
    Volume VS HIT
    HIT VS Powerbuilders
    Powerbuilders VS M.H.T.

Then you have subniches within each of those.

For instance, Natural bodybuilders who love volume and will use supplements vs natural bodybuilders who love powerbuilding but are whole foods kinda guys...

My point is that the closer you can target your audience, the more responsive your list will ultimately be.

As a word of advice, target the largest group who buys the most stuff.

    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

I forgot to connect the dots for you.

Once you decide on a subniche, then you will know what to write your lead magnet about, if you even want to use a lead magnet.

For instance, if you target the HIT/HD group, write a lead magnet on 3 things Mike Mentzer should have done differently.

If you target the Powerbuilder group, 5 ways to up the intensity of your DoggCrapp* chest and back days.

Maybe do something broad like 10 simple tips to get at least 300 grams of protein in every day.

    * Mods, DoggCrapp wasn't meant as vulgarity - that's actually the name of a training methodology.

I like the idea of switching off the computer and engaging with people - it's easy to forget that there are other great resources including people and books. I have been lucky enough to be around some very inspirational people over the years and their experiences are impossible to buy, and you only have to ask.
Also books are a brilliant way to get factual information regarding any topic; I used hate the thought of reading a whole book (I mean who has the time for that - right), but a tutor once taught me a great tip which I consistently pass on to students; if you can find books on the topic that you are researching, simply scan through the contents page and find the areas/chapters of interest and make your notes from there, sometimes just a couple of pages can give you some key information.
I know the Internet is a fantastic resource but don't forget these "experts" on paper too.

Go the library, there is a vast amount of information here on any subject. Read through other books and magazines all at the tips of your fingers. You can then make an outline mixed with your own ideas and then create your own info product.

You can contact some bg names in the industry and tell them about your venture and ask them for an interview. Maybe one will reply and agree and you can make a nice report about it that will give you instant authority in your niche.

      Good luck!

Have a look at Youtube! There are plenty of channels with millions of views. Some of them have tons of videos with really good content. You can easily see which videos got the most views that means that are the topics people are most interested in.

Create content around those topics and you're on the right path.

    Mike,
I think your approach is kinda inverted. If you are knowledgeable in the Muscle niche, you shouldn't have a problem offering expert advice in the form of a PDF and if it's really good people would appreciate it.

When you say you are in the Muscle Building niche, that should mean you KNOW the subject well and are passionate about it and if that's the case you shouldn't have an issue coming up with an "IDEA".

You probably don't need ideas from other people on what to write about, but a thorough analyze on what your target audience is really interested into.
Nobody will give you a or their rare idea to use it, so it's only up to you how well you know the field.
As a last observation, you mentioned you're planning to send them valuable information through email every day - please don't do that! Every day is way too often, no matter how eager those people are to know more about it. Use your website to post useful articles every day and let them subscribe to get notifications with your posts - if they want, but don't bug your client list with tips every single day...

    Mike,

You can always find other website and newsletters to see what others are doing and what they are sending to their lists. Never copy them but just get some ideas. That is what I would do.

Like others have said: niche down.

After doing a goog search on muscle building and then clicking on the 'news' tab, it shows the latest news about the keywords, 'muscle building'.

I see a couple of stories on ' soy dairy proteins'.

Try something to that effect and get some knowledge on some current news and offer your visitors some latest topics and how that info can help them or even how it can hurt them.

Mike, you could create all sorts of info for the muscle niche.

Try Youtube video series? Make them private and only people with a link can see it.
Specifically target a niche in the muscle industry, such as teens, elderly etc and help them specifically.
Get affiliated with a small supplement company to help promote their products for a 10% commission or so.

    Just a few ideas.

You should check out Mike Chang. Probably one of the biggest fitness industry marketers.

why not think about, multiple reports and ecourses based on bodyparts...

you could have a chest workout, a leg workout, a shoulder workout etc etc

this would give you multiple landing pages and much tighter SEO

Have you wrote a poetry over there?

If the information is too RARE, then probably just a few people will be interested in that topic. Go for what most guys are looking for, and that is "how to naturally build muscle fast".

I love Allan's idea of going into gyms and finding out lots of questions.

There are so many ways you can go with this: workouts for different areas of the body -- or its summer, how to take your workout outside

Diet - watching calories or protein intake, surviving summer BBQs while watching your food

Possibilities are endless just need to find the major questions and problems...

Also define if you are looking to market to people already in the muscle building business (have been lifting and growing for years -- and now need to maintain or find new workouts to keep up the progression) or are you targeting people just getting into lifting and muscle building -- lift style changes and challenges, mental, physical and emotional effects of making the change, etc.
