Efficient way to grow my list?

Hey all,

I just recently registered to these forums and have seen a lot of useful tips, but I believe the best route for me is to get people of your expertise to look at my case individually.

I have recently partnered with a productivity software, and whereas we are in developmental stage, most of our features are in line; project, client, and time management, with an exportable analytic system. We have yet to complete the main feature of invoices, we will have a generator for them.

What I want to know is the most efficient way of allocating emails, we have over 200 for our subscriber list but this is where it gets tricky. We are running at zero cost, zero funds, and every dollar we make until we have all of our software will be put back into marketing efforts.

We charge $5/month, and are scaling our prices in the next few days to $25/half year and $50/year.

From what I have read, our best route is to establish a personal relationship with our contacts and to start off smaller.

I can PM our website and the email we are using upon request. Any help will be appreciated and I am sure to help out the community that helped me once I have the knowledge to help others out. Thank you in advance!

    Hey Traef

First off, welcome to the forum! I'm sure you will find the answers to many of your questions here!

You stated that you have read that the best route to take is to establish a relationship with your customers, and I agree with you 100%.

Taking small steps and building customer relationships consistently will do wonders for your business in the future! Also, I'm guessing that you are looking for a free way to allocate your emails since you said that you are running off of zero funds right now.

If you made a Google Account for your productivity software, you can send up to 500 emails per day with the Gmail Merge app. Plus, Google+ would be a great platform to use to keep your audience entertained and get new customers.

Lastly, I would say that the absolute best way, hands down, to build a list is offering free information in exchange for emails from your website visitors. Here, you can actually get pretty creative with growing your list. You can offer a free ebook that you think your audience would find helpful, or you can even have a landing page that talks about your upcoming product and adds website visitors to your "waiting" list while you guys are still in developmental process.

Hope these tips were helpful for you!

      Hey Josh,

Thank you for the reply! I will try out your recommendation for the merge app, I am currently using mailchimp also. My question now is how do I offer free information? Our product is based upon being simple, cost effective, and powerful.

      Thank you for the tips
