eBook Download Through Mailchimp Signup

I am setting up a new site which will emphasise around an ebook I have been perfecting for the past 3 weeks.

I have not actually delved into the whole ebook thing as of yet.

It should work like this - User visits site, fills out form for free ebook download, mailchimp sends out response with download link.

Does MailChimp have this feature, or shall I go with Aweber?

Thanks,

PX

It probably doesn't really matter: there are so many other reasons to go with Aweber (or perhaps GetResponse) instead of with Mailchimp. These two posts explain and link to some of them ... (don't use Mailchimp without at least reading them and following the links).

    Free autoresponders

    Mailchimp warnings.

      Hey Alexa,

Thank you for the heads up, I guess I shouldn't go with MailChimp after all.

I think I may have to manually start responding to the list until the site is profitable enough to use Aweber (which Im hoping will be soon!).

      Thanks,

      PX

That would be a shame ... (because you're very unlikely to be able to import your existing leads into Aweber when you start, and would therefore be starting again from scratch, effectively, albeit with some "separate leads" you can email manually. It sounds like quite a work-up, though?).

Both GetResponse and Aweber give you the first month free (or for $1) before starting to charge their $15 or $20 per month. That effectively gives you two months to make $15 or $20 to cover the initial expense ...
