Paid vs Free subcribers?

What are your thoughts on building a fee-based list verses a free opt-in list?

When should a monthly or yearly subscription be used?

What do you mean by fee-based list?

Are you referring to not giving away something for free, and just directing to an OTO immediately after opt in?

If so, I personally take and recommend that approach. Helps prevent building a list that is primarily made up of freebie seekers who have no intention of buying anything.

You will read a lot about fee based producing a better quality of subscriber but in the end you have to make up you own mind. Start two lists and compare...than you will know for sure.

Referring to an email list that costs the user money to subscribe to.

I assume you refer to a freebie list vs a buyers list, so if that's the case then a buyers list will definatly be more profitable, because they have already proven they are willing to take out their wallets.

However, it's not that easy to build a huge buyers list, but if you do you need to build a solid relationship with them. But the thing is that it's much easier to build a freebie list and there are buyers everywhere.

    So conclusion: build both.

Yes. I'm noticing this. No paid subscribers yet but I'm sure I would have 150 free one's so far (based on previous results pushing my free list).

My problem is I can't seem to make a coin off my email list even though I've lived off the same traffic directed to affiliate products for four years.
