EMAIL MARKETING

Hi,

I work in email marketing full time, and I'm doing my affiliate marketing "things" on top of that.

What I need right now is a reliable software,that allows to send emails on pay-as-you go basis, with pricing based on emails sent rather then list size, and possibly non subscription based.

I've been using with similar features in the past 'totalsend', which I would avoid like plague now.

I need to be able to import my lists and export records of openers, as well as decent deliverability.

Just wondering if someone could help me

You might want to check out mandrill.com

The first 12000 mails / month are free and then a low fee after that.

Hi Soulsick

I would check mandrill or even get the plugin onto your word press so
you can send emails as many times as you like and setting a time

  Main problem with services like mandrill or Amazon SES is they require you to maintain your IP reputation yourself. If you fail to do so, you either loose your deliverability or they would just terminate your account in worst case.
  
  I recommend you use a very good clean list with these services. For best results, your bounce rate must be under 5% and your complain rate must be under 0.2%
  
  If you are not sure about quality of your lists, then you must use some kind of list hygiene service to get your data cleaned first.

I am bit wary of using these kind of services for this exact reason. The list is clean, but I want to do a bit of cross marketing, and the cleanest way to do this in a regular way I thought of, is a one time mailing suggesting the people in the list to opt-in to another list.

This could actually lead to some abuse complaints (niches are quite different), so if I could find some service that takes care of reputation by itself, it would likely be my first choice.

How is Mandrill compared to MailChimp as Mandrill is powered by MailChimp?

I read some bad reports about MailChimp sending out emails to our list without our permissions. Is it true?

  I mean that I just need to send a few mailings, not a regular program to my subscribers, so I would avoid to pay monthly/yearly. I would prefer a pay-as-you-go service.

  I just mean that I would like to use a service that has no issues on major ISPs. Totalsend has, for instance. In my experience mail sent from there land directly in spam on Gmail (among others) and does not arrive at all in hotmail.
  
  My deliverability is normally 99,x%, but this depends from a number of factors. I would be glad if I could find a service that, normally, can allow me to land normally in an Inbox

I had in the past good experiences with Mailchimp - although the pricing is quite high.

In this case it is not an option, unfortunately, due to the restrictive clauses on "fair usage policy".
As much as I appreciated their service, I admit that in the occasions where a dispute rose on their usage policy, their support has not been optimal.

Overall, for people that complies with their rules, is still a good option.
