PPC + E-mail Marketing

Well since i tried free ways (Youtube SEO) etc, i decided i'd do PPC. I Heard Bing ads are good, so i have to study a bit of PPC now before i take action.

I Was thinking of following this strategy:

Create an Ad on bing -> Send them into the Opt-in page with the title "Learn the 5 ways to lose weight easily" (example) -> Get their e-mail and build relationship -> sell.

what do you think?

This is really hard for me since i am a beginner but i won't give up.

    While your plan is a typical formula that seems to work in certain cases, It's going to be very competitive (and expensive) in that particular market. "Lose weight" isn't even really a niche, it's an enormous marketplace filled with big players paying big money for all kinds of advertising across all media, including BingAds.

    You might want to go do some keyword search and see if you can find a niche within this market that you could squeeze. The thing is, this is a mature and sophisticated market of consumers that have had messaging blasted at them for decades and "Learn the 5 ways to lose weight easily" is simply an immature message. You could try but I honestly think it's going to be tough with that message and sophistication of that marketplace.

    The idea is good.

    (Not the detail, but you've already said that it was just an example of the idea.)

    Be aware, if using this technique to sell ClickBank-type products (which I happen to know is your frame of reference for the question), that the outcome is also going to depend a lot on what you do and how you do it after they've opted in. But the process you outline above can certainly be made to work. And if you already know how to word and test PPC ads from your successful CPA business (which I'm guessing you do?), then there's no reason in principle you shouldn't make it work for you.

    It's like everything else: it's a hurdle-course and you have to clear every hurdle successfully, individually, to get to the finish line. It's just that this course contains a few more hurdles than the CPA one, I think (but it can also be much better rewarded at the other end. )

    When your doing PPC of any kind, make sure your sending them to YOUR lead capture page and you get the email. In the back end or follow up, offer them whatever product you are promoting.

    That seems like the regular that plans that I've seen work quite well for a number of people. But they all had massive budgets.

    Perhaps think about social sharing. What can you give new subscribers that will make them want to share that page with their friends? Perhaps an eBook, whitepaper or tutorials on a subject they'd like. Maybe it's even just a content... "Win an iPad by sharing" and add a share button.

    Ideally you want to spend as little as possible and break into the psyche of your subscribers and find out what makes them tick and what they absolutely cannot live without. It's not an easy task, but if you find that you'll be able to reduce PPC costs and increase conversions and traffic for free.

    In my years online, PPC will tend to get you the best results.

    Bing, Yahoo, and Google are the best places to place your ads on.
