Reliable Web/SMTP Host to send newsletter with Interspire Emailer

I have had terrible luck using Interspire Emailer for my mailing list. On my 3,000 member slists, mails do not get through to the emails I seed to test arrival. I have been back and forth between interspire support and IX support for months and got nowhere. I have even tried using SendMail for SMTP and the appication will not connect there.

I am quite desperate having my list paralised like this.

Does anyone have success in using Emailer successfully. Where do you host the software and what SMTP do you use?

Did you tried sendblaster? heard it's a good software. Lets talk about your second question about software hosting.

It needs to be hosted on a domain live of the web. You can register your domain with any reliable company like name cheap or godaddy.

After that your smtp service provider send you the information of your relay server that inludes the following

    1. Ip adress of your emailing server

    2. username

    3. password

    4. port

You just need to put it into the settings of your hosted software and that's all.

It's not the interspire issue you have, iem is goog software, the issue you may have is the hosting where the software is. What i would do is use mandrill smtp. They have free option where you can send up to 12000 emails per month, You just need to set up the interspire to work with mandrill...and set up the cron job too.

Yes, but where to I host the Interspire emailer software and cron. That was my original question. I have already tried to use sendgrid from the IX sebhosting where the software is hosted now and I cant connect to their SMTP server. I need somewhere better to host the software.

Email delivery is tricky. There are lots of reasons why email doesn't get delivered to your recipient's inbox. Here are a few quick things you'll want to consider:

    1. Do you have reverse DNS set up for the sending IP(s)?

    2. Do you have DNS SPF records set up for the mail server?

    3. Are you signing emails using DKIM (assuming it's supported by your software)?

    4. Are your sending IP(s) blacklisted? There are many tools that can be used to check blacklists. The one I tend to use is MX Lookup Tool - Check your DNS MX Records online - MxToolbox.

I realize some of these things might be new to you. You can Google the various terms for more information.

All I am really looking for at this point is an ISP that can host both Interspire Emailer and Cron to work in tendem with Sendgrid. The issues you mention are handled pretty well by sendgrid as I understand. My problem is that the bloody ISP I am working with wont let me connect to SendGrid SMTP.

Any suggestions about a more reliable ISP to work with Sendgrid or maybe stand alone?

Ah...I misunderstood the issue. I agree that Sendgrid has things covered in terms of SPF, DKIM, etc.

It's common for ISPs to block the default SMTP port (port 25). Is that what's happening in this case? If so, have you tried connecting to Sendgrid through any of the alternate ports that they support? For a list, see:

        https://sendgrid.com/docs/User_Guide/smtp_ports.html

(my apologies in advance if you're already aware of these options...just trying to cover all the bases).

I have created a email marketing service..

I bought a VPS, configured it (hardest part), installed mailing script and I am using mandrill as email delivery service. also specify SPF, DKIM and other stuff for effective mail sending. It needs quite a lot of setting up though.

Mail delivery % is quite good for me with this formula.

          I hope it helps.

          Best wishes,

I have tried all of the ports on the list. Non work. I can't connect to SendGrid. Yesterday I bought a VPS for this to host Emailer there. Guess what? They don' allow SMTP.

What I am asking is really simple. There must be SOMEONE on this forum who is using Interpspire Emailer successfully from one webhost or another. Where might that be?

I have Emailer set up. I have a Sendgrid account setup. Now all I need is a webhost, whether shared hosting or VPS that will not block the ports I need to reach sendgrid.

@DavidJGriffin. I've used Interspire Email Marketer with a Modwest shared plan as the host (as recommended by Interspire) and SMTP.com for years. No problems on the hosting. It's just holding the software and running the cron jobs.

smtp.com is good solution if you need an SMTP to send emails but if you get a high % of complaint you will be banned
