Be wary of $6.00 offers for newbie IMer's today

As a newbie to Email marketing I have signed up for so many Email lists. I want to see what's said and how they do it technically.

Today I got what looked like a good offer for some free material if I sign up,

I sign up.

Low and behold! I am immediately offered a one time super bonus for only $6.00! 100
's if not 1000's of dollars worth of stuff for only $6.00!

What are the odds that I could be so lucky?

Some useful Ebooks with resell rights , 89 in total and some programs, what the heck?

I'm gonna be rich that's what the heck!

So I purchase that, then immediately am offered even more!

Nahh I didn't do that one.

So I get my purchased downloads and scan them with Avast and it flags two of the programs with Trojans.

So be very careful.

It's not all ice cream and lollipops out there.

what you have described is called One-Time-Offers or OTOs that are popular thing to put immediately after a user subscribes or purchases. The idea is to "get you while you are hot!" lol

anytime you are offered a giant package of re-hashed PLR crap don't bother it's all useless and probably contains a virus.

If it is too good to be true, it's likely not good.

Plr packages with a lot of prdocuts are indeed usually not worth much, they can be found all around the internet. That doesn't mean you can't reuse them though (squeeze pages for instance inside the PLR product)...

Never heard of viruses in a product that's being sold though...

Depending on what is in the package, it could have been a false positive or one of the tools in it may be considered a Trojan by Avast. I have downloaded a few scripts in the past that my anti-virus considered a trojan. Chances are, it was a script for doing some blackhat SEO, Cookie Stuffing, or other dark art.
