need help to set up squeeze page...

Hello Warriors.

I've have problem with seeting a squeeze page (I've never done it before).
I've uploaded and extracted a zip file in my Cpanel (file manger).
Now, the zip content must be the blog content and the sqeeze page must be at the home page.

i've tried to redirect the directory to my domain. but i got got an error:

"You cannot redirect "training" to "http://fastlistandprofits.com" as this will cause a redirection loop because "/home3/theyd/public_html/fastlistandprofits.com" is the document root of one of your domains."
The folder name is training and the domain is fastlistandprofits.com. "

Please, help me.

ps sorry if there are mistakes; english is not my first language...

I'm hosted by hostgator.

Thank very much

My guess would be that you're trying to put the squeeze page AND the blog on the same directory. The blog (Wordpress installation, I'm guessing) needs to go in a subdirectory. So in the 'fastlistandprofits' directory, you'll have the squeeze page files, and in the 'fastlistandprofits/blog' subdirectory, you'll set up your Wordpress blog installation.

    Hope this helps!

I find it easier to keep everything straight if I unzip the files on my computer and then ftp them to the folders I want them in.

At the moment, you have a WordPress blog installed in the
      root of your domain.

Plus, you have started to upload the template problems into
a subdirectory (/training/) on the same domain.

The problem is that the training pages are mainly .html pages
and the blog is .php pages generated by WordPress.

I assume that your zipped file contains all of the template
pages that you need to get your site pages up and running
WITHOUT needing to use WordPress at all.

If so, delete the WordPress installation completely.

If you want a simple squeeze page in the home page of your
site, then upload the squeeze page template into the root
      (public_html folder) as either index.html or index.php.

Then keep your other lesson pages in either the training
subdirectory folder or place them in the root too.

      I hope this helps you.

It looks like you've put the squeeze page in a subdirectory
(/squeeze/) rather than directly in the root (public_html)

For a page to show up as your home page, it has to be
either the index.php or index.html page in the root from
your unzipped squeeze page template file.

You also need to delete all of the WordPress related files
in your root, including the wp-admin, wp-content and the
wp-includes folders too. And delete the WordPress
      database as well.

    Hi warriors

    How do you do?
    OK.
    My problem is resolved.
The solution was very simple (simple when you have someone to show you excatly what to do...).
No wordpress installation was needed in this case.
The solution is just firstly to add the domain in CPanel and upload the html file in the domain folder...

Many thanks to all of you for your help.

specifically to Shaun. This man just took my hand and showed me excatly what need to be done..

Thank You again and God Bless you
