Sending emails to 100,000+- cheapest provider? Please help.

Thanks for your post.
I use mailer light. The charge $495 per year for a contact list of up to 50,000 with an unlimited sending limit. I doubt it would be that much more for 100,000.

Wouldn't you be making a lot of money with 1 million+ subs any way? Surely, the AR fees would be a drop in the ocean compared to your earnings from the list?

To email mass amounts of people, you'd be better off with setting up a SMTP. They're kinda complicated IMO, but there's lots of information out there on how to setup, how to use etc

I think he's got a bought list and he wants to spam it as cheap as possible

I could be mistaken, of course...

But there are many cheap bulk email services out there that charge a couple of bucks for thousands of emails sent.

If you can manage the list yourself, you can use Mandrill, which is the delivery platform behind MailChimp. It would cost $20 to send 100,000 e-mails. Pricing is similar at other SMTP-as-a-service platforms like SendGrid, Mailgun and Postmark.

Of course, if you're not on the up-and-up regarding SPAM laws and such, you won't be on any of those platforms very long. They track spam reports in real-time and will boot you right off. Be sure to read their terms of service to ensure your intended use is not prohibited; not every company allows affiliate marketing mails due to the high risk of spam complaints.

Like a monthly newsletter with Mandrill? Whats difference between using Mailchimp?

You would send 100,000 mails. One to each person. From a newsletter management program, or code that you've written. It's an e-mail delivery platform, where MailChimp is a list and campaign management platform. Big difference. One sits on top of the other.

You could also consider using Sendy in combination with Amazon SES. Sendy is a piece of software you can install on your own server. It manages the lists, autoresponder and everything for you. It's the user interface you use to do anything. In other words, you host your own e-mail platform.

The sending of the emails will be done through Amazon SES, which is a service of Amazon. Amazon SES charges you $1 per 10.000 emails send. So for a list of 100.000 this would be $10. And it has good deliverability rates.

Sendy costs a one time 59 dollars. I'm now using it for all my e-mailmarketing.

So I'm a bit confused. Lets say I buy Sendy. How easy is it to then send a mass newsletter? Do I have to code the template and do stuff like that? Does Sendy track opens/clicks ETC?

Im currently using Get Response. It's only about 15 bucks a month and it has many amazing features. You should definitely look into it before you purchase any other products. This service makes me LOTS of money. Plus its easy to use :-)

I recall listening to an interview with an online marketer... he only had 350,000 people on his list.

He was really bummed out when he cleared under $1,000 a day... his average at the time was $1,300 a day.

Do you suppose that in a month's time, he could afford the autoresponder fees?

My thought: People who don't like the "high cost" of autoresponders don't know how to earn any money with their list.

You don't have to code anything or do something super technical to send emails. Sendy itself is a little bit more technical to set up then other email service providers though, but Sendy got a step by step getting started tutorial which explains everything, so you should be fine.

Yes. You can import lists in CSV format in Sendy. You can also add e-mailaddresses manually.

As expected of a company selling "unlimited mails to unlimited people" for a couple bucks, all four of their welcome/confirmation mails went straight to my spam folder. The reason you pay professional e-mail marketing companies isn't for the list management (you can get free software for that), it's for the reputation and relationships with all the major e-mail hosts around the world that gets their mails into inboxes instead of spam filters.

If you have big list you might want to start in hosting it on your own.

The last thing you want is to give full access and full control over your successful business to somebody else. Because one day you might discover you whole life income evaporated.

This is simply not true.

There are plenty of SMTP services that provide prime quality email delivery. And enough software to anyone who would like to self host their own email marketing software.

Simply a misunderstanding, then. You agreed with me completely. I said "DELIVERING the mail is not an option", which would mean self-hosting the SMTP part as well. That's what I assumed you were suggesting by saying that in response to multiple posts about good options for SMTP-as-a-service (Mandrill, Amazon SES, Sendgrid, etc) to use alongside self-hosted list/campaign management software.

Self-hosting the list management software and using an e-mail company for deliverability was my own suggestion, way up top over a week ago.

Of course, if that's what you really meant, your prior post is puzzling. You warned against using a third party because they'd have access to your business. Any SMTP host you send your mail through necessarily has access to who you mail, what you mail and when you mail it. They know just as much as the software that sent the mails.

I guess it is misunderstanding and we both meant the same thing

We can always change SMTP provider for our emails and be back in business, but if AW or GR blocks our account and removes list then we lost our entire business.

I think those companies are good to start with and they provide good basic services, but later on when it grows up and starts bringing good money, it makes sense to protect the investment.

Well if you want them to actually get in an inbox you could use Amazon SES.. BETTER and CHEAP... PIS to set up and they hate Biz Op, but wow best Ive used. I mail 1 mil a day with them

Nobody likes to hear this but I say it anyhow; with large email list there is a very high chance that spamming is involved, and spamming only hurts a business. I´d trhink twice before doing this.

With that much mail, you should do it yourself.

Get a VPS server from ovh, vultr, digital ocean or a myraid of other providers:
apx. $10 per month
Buy a Email Marketing software: Mailwizz, acelle, interspire, etc
Have someone configure your mail server
and you can send as many mails as you'd like.

Now, as long as you are not spamming, then you should be ok. Because then your ip address will get blacklisted and your host will have an issue with it.

But, if you are spamming, any third party service will block you anyways.
Even if you pay a system administrator to handle your server per month, it will still be a lot less than the cost of a third party server
