Redirect for New Funnel

Hi all,

I have a funnel that's going to offer a free training video on how to optimize YouTube videos which is not complete at this time. I would like to know how long the redirect should be.

I've seen some that don't give you time to read the page and I've seen some that take a long time. How long should it be? I have it set to about 12 seconds right now.. would that be considered too long?

Thanks!

Why not make it an exit redirect?

That way, you always allow the person all the time they want...

Yup. If you have a video, why not let the visitors watch it till the end and then redirect either at the end or as an exit redirect?

I know what you're saying now. I think I'll set that up and test it out.. thanks.

I'd love to give you an example, but it would be just a little over the top as far as self-promotion...

I have a product that I'm running through Warrior Plus and JVZoo... the sales page is on my website... now, affiliates will use the link they get to drive traffic to my sales page... and it works just like any other sales page, it gives you the information why you need whatever I'm selling... and if you click the buy button, you'll end up at Warrior Plus or JVzoo, and make your payment, then end up at an upsell...

But, there are always those who aren't interested in buying just right now... so they read that same sales page, then try to click off... and CodeCanyon's Ninja Popup (what I'm using, others will do this too) detects the movement of the mouse - it's called exit intent ... and brings up a popup asking a question...

The visitor can then click no and disappear... or he can click 'yes' - and be redirected to another webpage, where I take an opt-in.

But the idea of having a popup after a particular amount of time is designed for a different application... that's what you'd have on your website's home page... and is designed for opting in people.

In my case, the exit intent is going to an opt-in - but it can literally go anywhere you want... the idea is to give the visitor as long as he wants to view that page, then catch him to redirect to another page.

So you're saying to just send the visitor directly to the video after they opt in? Then set that page up as an exit redirect?
