Building a list... I'm failing

So this is my sales page HERE I sent 500 clicks through a solo ad and barely got any subs.. The swipe was good and prepared the potential subscribers for what the sales page would offer. But yet, I barely have any subs =[ Any suggestions? I have like 5 subs, I'm a little frustrated. Do people really experience 50% optin rates? Or is that a bunch of hooblah? Because in my experience.. getting subs is very difficult.

I just clicked on the link and I have no idea what you're offering. You need to make it clear exactly what I'll get for entering my email. And get rid of the background pic - it's a huge distraction.

What is the download? A free ebook? A video? An email course?

Your opt-in page should say exactly what the freebie is and the BENEFITS I'll get from it. Somebody really needs to know WHY they should download it. What's in it for them?

Plus as Frank said, the background is distracting. What does it have to do with your offer?

I found the exit pop took ages to load for me.

Who cares if it has pictures? Do you really believe that statement is going to create desire in the hearts of a person wanting to learn how to make money?

Your first line is good. I like the "Become a Facebook Marketing Beast"

Try swapping the second line to something more like "7 Secrets to Making Money With Facebook" or some similar line that continues to build interest and intrigue.

Test a different image, one with you in it. Test without an image.

Test with different text in your button. Download Now may work perfectly, but something like "Click To Get It Free" might work better.

Test moving the button under the email box.

Test different colors. I usually suggest not obscuring your message with so much color. Your page reeks of blue distraction. (My opinion, not a tested fact.)

You are going to have to play with it. It will get you some results now, but it can be much, much better.

P.S. I just clicked off your page and now am really curious. If you are going to use an exit pop, make sure you offer an incentive to go back, or better yet...offer the incentive and sign-up form in the exit pop.

      I'll politely disagree.

I'm human, I've no desire to be a 'beast'.

What I want to know is - what does your information do for ME!?

If I saw - "I Get 3 Cent Clicks - And Turn It Into Dollars" - or something like that - I'd stop and pay attention - because now you're telling me what this is going to do for me...

That first line should be a benefit that will entice me to read further. I've heard it said (and I think that there's more than a grain of truth to it) that many people read no further than the headline.

I'm not a big fan of exit pops on squeeze pages, but if it works for you - go for it.

I can agree with your thoughts, but when I glanced at the form it was about the only part I would have even kept for testing purposes.

I think the critical thing is to get a solid benefit in place, and then get busy testing everything else.

Maybe I liked the "beast" angle because I just got my new workout gear from Amazon...

I know it seemed harsh to disagree... but I've simply seen that immediately telling people what you're going to do for them is important.

It's true, as you said, that the headline is memorable. I just think it can be improved (or dropped under the main benefit to the reader)

First, never test with 500 clicks when you have new opt-in page. I would test with 100 clicks first and scale up from there.

To be honest, your landing page needs a lot of work. I would just use leadpages and make a custom landing page that grabs your attention.

Another thing you should do is ask the Solo Ad vendor how they built their list and what kind of offers have they experienced.

The whole "beast" thing might be turning people off.

If I were looking for preworkout supplements, then I would be looking for something that turns me into a beast. Facebook marketing, on the other hand, doesn't really get me ready to go into beast mode.

I would test different headlines and see if something else works better.

I think it needs something more as well. I thought it was too simple & didn't have enough benefits from adding your email address. I just made mine yesterday & added 5 benefits from joining above my YouTube video that explains how it works with the affiliate link below it.

I have read that solid backgrounds (preferably white) seem to work best and try using some quotations. Try a split test with something completely different. Your domain name just screams typical get rich quick schemes which is nothing new.

EDIT: Maybe it's just me but your exit redirect seems to be really slow as well.

Have you tried to buy solos from a different vendor?

I see a lot of opinions here and I cannot say I agree or disagree but what some people say works for some and for some it doesn't.

Personally I have the most success with just writing a little bit to create enough curiousity for the visitor to see what's on the other side. NOT to state exactly what is inside and so on.

I am using the exact same template as you do for some of my Squeeze pages btw. Epic Squeeze and it works for me perfect 40 to 50% Opt-In rates every time so I know that it is nothing wrong with the page. And yes I am using background pictures as well.

Unfortunately if you got a bad vendor that could be the answer to the low Opt-Ins.

PM if you need some help.

    Regards,
    Sven

I don't give a darn how "bad" your squeeze page was. You should've gotten more than a 1% conversion. That is very strange!

I am sorry but honestly I just would probably not optin into this.

There is just enough information for me to warrant given out my email to you. Something has to entice me to give this over to you.

      Could I make a Living over time ? How much ?? Maybe $25 a day, $210 day etc.. ??
What is it exactly that I could become a Beast at ? PPC, FB Profile Marketing, Fan Page Marketing ?
Give me some bullet point benefits. Maybe Three of them.

Also I would NOT put the Download where they can get it right off the bat. Have the download link in the first follow up at their email. So you know they will open your emails and click on Links. And it discourages half interested people who just want something free then Unsubscribe right away.

Try testing a different squeeze page as well as a different solo ad provider. I suspect that the problem lies with your solo ad provider. Also never run a test ad with 500 clicks. Try 100 clicks with a new solo ad provider. But the key is to not let this discourage you. Do not give up.

The first thing you need to do is to make sure where your traffic is coming from , some sellers will deliver traffic from countries not even speaking english, the second thing is to use a simple targeted squeeze page. what people want from you isn't a a beautiful painting to staire at , but a useful information that can be used in their business.

Could be landing page and/or solo ad vendor. For one your landing page not providing any curiosity, and whats like added benefit for opting in for this free ebook. Ask the solo ad vendor what type methods they using to get their traffic. They could be sending you bad traffic as well. I would try use solo ad vendors with a lot of positive reviews and testimonials and start off with a smaller amount when testing like 50 to 100 clicks.
