Aweber - Disabling DOI Doesn't Work?

As the subject title suggests I have disabled the double opt-in feature in my list management section however after testing I am still receiving a confirmation e-mail from Aweber. Any ideas? Anyone else have this issue?

I believe AWeber requires Email Confirmation.

Then why the option to turn it off? I will open a ticket and ask I guess.

Aweber sometimes still require people to confirm their email even if you have disabled the double optin feature. I guess they do it for security reasons.

Well that seems kind of pointless. I e-mailed Aweber and the person helping me signed up and said they did not get the DOI. She advised me to try form a different IP and use a different e-mail to simulate a new subscriber so I tried from my cell phone using a new e-mail address and same problem.

I am not quite sure of your situation. With Aweber if I do it with OptmizePress single opt-in works. Aweber with Warrior Plus I sell one of my ebooks on there the single opt-in won't work. If it was a product with JVZoo though the single opt-in works.

You might need to ask Aweber to omit a confirmation step for API submissions if this is your issue.

I am not sure if they will do that for you though.

With Getresponce you have to fill in Double Opt-in Removal Request and tell them which campaign you wish to set to single opt-in API.

This is precisely the issue - and the reason I'm moving from Aweber to Getresponse. Aweber will not allow single opt-in with the API.

They make it easy to do ... Aweber, to the best of my knowledge, simply refuses to do so. So they've lost a customer.

I'll still recommend Aweber - they are quite good... but the lack of single optin for API calls is a dealbreaker for me.

I recently lost 30+ subscribers on a WSO - they've not clicked the confirm button - but they purchased a product from me. I can't have that.

The snippet from the response I received from Aweber -

Occasionally a subscriber's browser does not pass along that URL because it has been blocked by a firewall, or secured settings on the subscriber's browser.

It appears that your forms have been set up in Frames on the site. Because the form code is constrained by this frame, it is not passing the correct information to AWeber. In order to resolve this, you would need to remove your form from the frame on your site.

So perhaps it is just the HTML box widget that I am using to assemble my pages.
