If you're willing to put in the time, create products.

You can do some amazing things if you have your own products. They will bring plenty of traffic your way if you utilize your own products.

Take a look around for Bryan Harkins, he did an excellent WSO on how he built a list of 23,232 in 8 months for "free" (of course, he worked like a dog for that "free" traffic - but that's another story!)

Very good point raised. If you are willing to spend time, why not spend it on creating products. Creating valuable products is one of the best, long-term strategies for building a sustainable online business

Truly, There is nothing for free .. You need to spend time or money for traffic.
So if you want to spend your time for traffic.. My suggestion is bogging .

Amen. I personally use Craigslist as one course to get FREE traffic to one of my e-commerce sites but I do it in a tricky way that most probably would never think of.

Social Media for me has always been a great free traffic source.
Forums aswell is a great source
Joining like minded groups, pages, and forums. Posting regulally and helping other members out.

I think the best way to get free traffic is by video marketing. If your product is about hairloss, you might want to post funny videos about hair, hair loss, hair style or anything related. Put the link to your squeeze page inside the video or the description. Traffics will come and it is partly targeted as your videos are related to your products.

Put videos up on YouTube with your link to get free traffic.

Forum marketing is also good for free traffic.

Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, Digg, StumbleUpon, etc. are also options.

Free classified ads on CL, Backpage and these other free ad sites work also.

Yahoo answers, Ask Questions, Get Free Answers - Blurtit and other similar Q & A sites are also good for getting free traffic.

Scribd and other document sharing sites are good too.

I wonder if anybody has had any success using their own email list. I have built up quite a list over the years with craiglist ads, jobs, and so forth. My list would include many people I know which I could maybe delete somehow. Obviously a list of people interested in a product or service you have is better than a generic email list like I stated, just was wondering if anybody has tried it?
