What's the average cost of a new lead ?

Hi all ,

Suppose I am using Facebook ads or Adwards to send people to my opt-in page. How much should it cost me to get 1 lead. Yes I know that this depends on conversion rate ,which varies.

Another question , what is the cheapest option to build a list ,excluding SEO of course.

And about a million other factors.

    An impossible to answer question.

I see gaming leads valued at around $0.50 and stock market leads valued around $7.00 while real estate is more like $20 and some specific medical leads can be $150+

I am not currently in that vertical. But you would be looking for a lead tree or aggregator. They will take the leads of people interested in buying homes plus the zip code and then resell to real estate agents and mortgage brokers in that area.

If yours are all from say NYC, you could personally go and try to sell them to real estate agents and mortgage brokers but to do it on a national scale, good luck!

Leads for Real estate they will want email and phone number minimum. To get top value you will want to collect their credit scores and what size house they are looking for and how much downpayment they can afford.

There's your definitive answer. Between $0.50 and $150.

Hi, If you really want to get a lot of quality traffic and at the same time traffic with high conversion rates, i suggest you invest in solo ads. The average cost per lead with solo ads are anywhere from .50 to .80 cents. Plus the traffic is targeted as with solo ads your paying some one to send the link to your opt in page to their list, which they tell you what niche their list is built for. So if your opt in page is about dieting, you would by a solo ad from someone with a list in the dieting niche so you know the leads your paying for are interested in what your promoting.

This is were testing comes in, no one here can tell you. It's going to depend on how much your product costs, if there is a lot of competition for your product and whether the people opting in are the buying type or just want free stuff.

The cheapest way to create a list would be to write articles, create a blog and/or post videos on youtube. That would all be free.

I think you have to do a little math in order to calculate the cost per lead. Lets take an example of Facebook's pay per click advertising scheme. Lets say you are getting 1 lead per 10 clicks via Facebook just consider the amount of money you spent on Facebook to gain a customer or a lead that will be the average cost of lead.

Normally there is no specific monitoring method to determine a cost per lead because most of the online advertising programs are based on Ad sizes, number of viewers and the time duration.
