There are many methods & techniques you can use to generate leads. If you're wanting to know how to make them happy after you've already acquired those leads, that's nice & easy.

Give them value & what they want. Provide free content & solutions to problems they may be facing. By doing that & building a relationship with your subscribers, do you think that might make them happy? Of course, right!

    Hope that helps.

Talk with your Subscribers from the heart.

      Use a conversationalist tone.

I use this technique....I talk to my Readers the way I talk to my brother in a email.

Just laid back, friendly, and many times unpredictable.

Hint : Being unpredictable builds excitement and anticipation which makes your Readers want to Open your emails that much more

This is very true. Invite you subs to e-mail and then converse with them as a real person not just a faceless list builder pumping out endless IM products to them. As I have read numerous times in numerous WF threads, identify what your user wants or their problem and then offer a solution. What keeps you on the lists that you are on?

for one hand I agree with you that there is truth traffic
on the other hand I say there are other people who used different programs to send traffic that is not true
I think you understand what I say to you

Talk to them as if they were your best friend.

Imagine if you were to solve something for a friend, talk to them in that way and you'll see they start buying from you after a while. That's the power of trust

What if improving customer experience doesn't actually result in a higher subscriber spend? What is the evidence that it does?

Well, you're asking two questions I think... happy subscribers and getting leads.

In terms of making your subscribers happy, I think key is knowing what they want and providing that. In your first two emails after they opt in, make sure you build trust by introducing yourself and also asking them what they would like to learn more about. In a way, it's a simple matter of asking.

For getting leads, possibilities are endless... free sources (forum sigs, FB groups, etc.) and paid sources (PPC, PPV, FB Ads, etc. )

    Be you.

If some of your subscribers don't like it they will unsubscribe. The ones that stay are the ones you want on your email list anyways.

show them how to make their fast dollar online and they leave their spouse before they leave you. lol. seriously, i think internet marketers are very loyal. so, actually show them something that works, not like many other wso's where from the beginning, they have a disclaimer where it says "this worked for me but it does not mean it will work for you" : that is bullshit, it it worked for you 10 times, chances are it will work for me too.

Isaiah Jackson is spot on. You have to be yourself.

It's one thing to give out great content that helps your subscribers, but hey, isn't that what everyone else is doing? It's not enough anymore. You must stand out. You must turn people OFF if you want to turn others ON.

After your first email is sent and your freebie is downloaded, most people on your list have already decided to ignore you. They already get free content from the other dozen or so email lists they have signed up to.

Of course, you can give even better content. Your free offer could be astonishing. But it still comes down to the relationships you build.

Have you heard something similar to this before? "I'm going to give you a lot of fantastic content for free over the coming days, weeks and months"

    Yeeeaaaahhh WHATEVER!!

I see this pathetic nonsense being stated in almost all "welcome" emails I get.

    I just ignore them.

    I'm blind to it.

I've heard it a million times before.

What stands you apart from everyone else quicker than anything else, is NOT just your content. It's your personality.

A big misconception is that content = value. Not true. My friends provide me with tremendous value just by being themselves.

Don't get it twisted though: Providing valuable content and advice should be a given.
