Paid emails sends with horrible results

We have tried several different companies now, sending 50K+ email with a killer offer but the result is always the same... almost no sales. I realize we are in a heavily over marketed category (ecigarettes and vaporizers) but has anyone had success with this?

That's what happens when you send spam.

You bought a list, didn't you?

And thought you'd make money with it...

Go back to the basics, and build a list of people who opt in to your offers. I daresay you'll make more money with a list of 500 who opted in, vice the 50K scraped or whatever emails you have.

    It's a learning experience...

P.S. I hasten to add that I come off sounding like I'm chastising you or something... but I'm really not.

If you want to continue using the method you're using, I'd suggest a slight change in tactics.

It sounds like you are buying lists or solo ads and blasting a direct sales offer to them. Even with a "killer offer", this is a very low percentage bet. If the list owner is selling the list, the people on it are used to getting spammed. If the list owner is selling solo ads, it's very possible that the list is 'overfished' - they're selling too many ads.

Find a professional list broker and work with him or her. The broker's services typically are paid by the list owner.

Once you've picked some list owners together, use a two-step approach. Instead of hammering them with your "killer offer", try to get them on a list you own. Once they've opted in, you can stream them a combination of content and offers over a period of time.

As you learn what works and what doesn't, your house list will gain in value.

On the bright side, you've already found one combination that doesn't work...

Sorry, this Method is doomed for you from the beginning.

Your looking for the one trick pony. Wham , bam , thank you maam.

Successful Internet Marketing does NOT work this way.

Your whole foundation is built on shaky ground.

You have to think more long term. And think about building relationships with people.

Do not be swayed by the quick sale.

This is how most of us started out as newbies.

We then learned that building a business is about building rapport with people.

And subsequently selling them things after they get to Trust us.

Build a list from scratch and get a good relationship with the list and you will definitely see more sales.

you also need to check deliveribility of email...ip reputaton, ip rotaion, dkim..spf..rdns..mx..dmarc record , this all record should be accurate to hit the inbox. also need to check how many emails open and out of that how many clicked. always good idea to send them to your opt in page and send them offers regularly.

Hitting inbox is the main game in email marketing.

You need to study spam filters of Gmail and Yahoo and other email providers to avoid spam and blacklist.
-Limitation of messages per ip/per hour

There are many variables why emails go to spam.
    -No spf/dkim/rdns
-Too many messages from 1 IP
    -Repeated messages
    -Too many bounce email
-Your links are flagged as spam
-Many people mark your messages as spam
-Your server or ISP ip address are flagged as spam.
-Your email server is new (reputation)
    -Html on body of messages
-Bad keywords on body of messages

I mail offers to this niche every single day and have great success with it. I think your approach is a little mixed, but with some guidance and focus on better list building and emailing strategies, you could also be seeing success in this niche. So, the answer is yes, there are people still making money in this niche. Like anything in life though, its going to take some hard work to get these things profitable.

Most paid instructional systems I buy advise using purchased email lists and solo ads. Do you think the process would be more success if I don't try to sell anything for while but instead just send good content to these lists to get them hook at first?

From your scenario, there is a absence of connection/ touch with the subscribers in those list. What you are offering does not "touch" them. Thus, it's hard to get sales.
