Running out of topics/subjects for email marketing, how do you come up with more email ideas?

You can write a bit about yourself and your life - that's providing value believe it or not because some people on your list really want to get to know you!
Industry News and your take on different things is another idea...
Btw - which niche are you in?

I recycle the content of my articles as additional emails (with only minimal editing).

So it's more "how to come up with article ideas" for me, and I often do that by looking at offline information-sources (there's not much value in my giving people endless information they can easily find elsewhere online: what establishes the credibility and trust with my subscribers that translates into income, for me, is giving people information they can't easily find elsewhere.)

Let us assume for the moment that your topic is Oil Related (please excuse me if I am incorrect. I just used oil as an example as you are a dealer for Amzoil). Another assumption is that you are trying to develop and maintain relationships with your subscribers and / or customers. Then perhaps you could write on topics such as:

    1) Contemporary Oil News
    2) The differences in Oil Filters
    3) Fuel Additives
    4) Differences between synthetic as opposed to 'conventional' oil
    5) Frequency of Oil changes
    6) Different types of Lubes
    7) Main producers of lubes worldwide
    8) How is oil recycled?
    9) Where is oil recycled?
    10) Future Trends

.... and so on. If you have already covered these topics, then go over them with a 'different eye' and see if something fresh pops up.

What are the psychographics of your present subscriber / customer base? Identifying your subscriber or customer and knowing a bit more about them usually works for me in terms of getting ideas.

Try to make different e-mail variants and divide them by
    -age
    -sex
and you'd probably get the point with flexibility if you can see the difference between two reactions on the same letter and choose another variant.

Are you looking for ideas for retail/online customers, or for recruiting additional dealers?

Both my list consists of customers and potential dealers. My niche is synthetic oil and other synthetic auto fluids.

Given your avatar and sig, I'd have never guessed.

You really should have two lists, then. The info for dealers probably isn't going to interest potential retail customers. Consider splitting your campaigns.

You have two different jobs to accomplish.

For customers, you have two challenges - getting them to choose your product over the synthetics available at Walmart, and then getting them to buy from you rather than any of the other dealers out there.

For potential dealers, you have either two or three jobs. You may have to educate them on whether they should pursue a bizopp at all. Then you have to get them to choose your opportunity. Finally, you have to get them to choose you.

Trying to do all that with a single list is asking for a lot, no matter how you acquired the list.

Personally, after 30 or so Follow Ups I go back reuse some of the ones with the highest Open Rates and Click rates.

This practice has been successfully used by many and it is really a no brainer. It is an efficient way to build a Funnel

Go here: IBOSEARCH - small business search engine

Type in your niche... click any link, then click on the "PRS" tab at the top. Some of these people have a hundred or more articles, and quite interesting too...

    Lot's of inspiration here...
