| Input & Competition! If I give this ‘Digital Widget’ away I can either… 1. Grab subscriber details, 2. Pre-sell and potentially bag a commission 3. or Both OK it’s not really a ‘Widget’ but I am giving something away and when I do the results are either: 1, 2 or 3 I have a bunch of ways in which I can give this ‘Digital Widget’ away (Paid and Free) But I’d love to hear any suggestions, especially with a viral aspect… $10 for the best idea!!! |

Hi there If I were you I will go for option number 1 Here is why. Getting information about your customers is everything especially in the online business world, why? Because you can sell to them over and over again and make them your repeat customers. Here is not why I am not a fan of option 3. People do not like to be sold to, plain and simple. Think about it, don't you hate it when you click a link and BAM you are hit with an offer which sells you a product. You wouldn't like it would you Here is what I would do. 1. Build a simple squeeze page (One page website) offering FREE information to solve a problem. Make sure this ties in with your digital widget. This is great because you will give them a free report or video in exchange for their email address. 2. Communicate with your subscribers everyday. Send them great information about how you can help solve their problems. Make sure your emails are in relation to the digital product you are offering. Do this for 3-5 days after they sign up to your list. 3. Pre-sell them. Give them hints that something great is coming and it will solve their problems (Your digital widget). Tell them to watch out because soon you will be offering something which will help them tremendously. 4. When it comes to selling your product, send them a simple email telling them that your widget will solve their problem. Add a link to it, and watch the sales come in. It is all about capturing your customers details, communicating with them, building a relationship, and finally making sales. Selling to them immediately without them getting to know you is sure way to make little or no sales. Hope that helps |
