Hi,

I have recently heard about adsense arbitrage. Does it really work ? My guess is that it doesn't any more because Google downgrades sites that mostly offer adsense or other links and not enough content. Or am I wrong. I have tried Adwords three times, only to lose hundreds each time and I was careful with the ads and tried some of the tricks I read about. The problem was mainly that Google doesn't send you much traffic, or low cost traffic, unless the click through rate is high.

Anyway, the arbitrage method is being promoted by a successful marketer at the moment and I wondered if it still worked, or is it a bad idea ?

I also sometimes hear of people who are making big money using adwords as a traffic generator. Sure wish I could figure that one out.

Thanks.

There is NO Adsense arbitrage. You are allowed to get traffic from Adwords to your Adsense sites. If you try any other search engines to drive traffic to your site, it is against Google's terms and conditions and your Adsense account runs the risk of getting banned by Google. It is also understood that you cannot expose your Adsense sites to traffic exchanges like trafficswarm.

But, you can try Adwords. It has a new feature called Placement targetted advertising in which you can choose to pay only when your ad is clicked. Previously, it was not like that and you have to pay per impressions. Now that you can pay per click, you can run placement targetted ad and keep your bid per click lower.

Thanks

Hi there!

A piece of advice to you here: don't involve your Adsense account with arbitrage unless you wanted a google asx kick...

A lot of stories have been told by folks who used to do this and lost their accounts. Not only did they spend the money on PPC, but then they had their accounts closed and didn't get paid their AdSense money as well. You have to ask yourself if it's worth the risk.

Adsense arbi through YSM does give a very little money. e.g. CPM like $2000ish, no kidding it's $2000ish gives around $5. That's the best day for me using YSM. The rest was like 0.30 - 0.60 from cpm like $40-$60.

Did u mis-type? or am i mis-informed??? U mean to say u cant do arbitrage by buying traffic from other search engines?? and is that mentioned in Google's TOS?
I'll be very surprised if that is true. Could you please point to the exact term in the google's TOS that states that you cant get traffic to your adsense sites from other search engines?

Prodozoan,

From a practicality point of view I would generally agree with the above posts that AdSense arbitrage is probably not going to be profitable for many.

From a TOS point of view the question is not whether the TOS says explicitly that you can do it. The question is does it explicitly tell you that you CAN NOT do it? Laws usually tell you what you can't do, not what you can do.

Hey Ken,
Adsense Arbitrage is still around and there are many people doing it quite successfully, but for most it is a risk and it does take some work .

I would suggest if you are looking for arbitrage opportunities look into networks such as 7Search.com

Much easier!

Take Care

Sir,

This is not my own opinion. There are many horror stories told about how google has removed the accounts of people using second and third rung search engines to drive traffic to sites having adsense code on them.

In fact, my posting is prompted after reading Google Payload. The author says that he has not used the methods suggested in his ebook on his adsense sites. In fact, Google Payload itself is a misnomer.

Thanks
