Icons
Pencil - Edit - this means if you want to change or correct your post, if you click the pencil, you can go back in and fix it.
Beer Mug - You can buy someone a 'beer' if someone helps you and you want to send them a few dollars through PayPal, click the beer mug on one of their posts
Garbage Can - If you want to delete your post, Click this icon and put in your password when asked. Do this if you post the same thing twice or you decide you would rather not post.
Quote - If you want to reply to a particular post in a thread, use the little icon with the arrow to post your reply. This will allow you a box with the quote you are responding to and you can either type on top of it or below it - the quote itself will be tagged with an open quote and closed quote bracket set.
Others - Hover over any icon to see what it does.
Smilies - You won't see these when you create a post, so you will have to create the post, save it and then use the pencil icon to edit the post. It is at that time you see the smilies on the left. Click in your post where you want the smiley to be, and then click the smiley you want. Post the changes.

IMPACT POPUPS FOR PIPS SITES.
Hi all,
I had the same trouble with the pop-up on my website recently.I got some brilliant help from the other warriors.
This is the way i was shown --
Firstly, make your popup using the impact popup website,you will then have to upload it to your server.
Upload your popup file to your own server.There should be 3 files included (logo.png,pix.gif and script.js).
This is done by opening your file manager, scrolling all way down to bottom, where there's a save directory box.
Name your popup for eg. POPUP.popup1 and save to directory.
You will then see the popup listing appear in the main page.
Click on the popup listing ,then this will give you an empty file box.
Upload the 3 files from the impact popup to this file box.
You now have the POPUP.popup directory with the 3 files in it.
For example it should look - POPUP.popup1
Open your index.html file using the edit icon - just right of the blue "e" icon,then
copy and paste the popup script to your index.html file on your server--

This is placed just below the </head> tag.
5.Once you have saved everything to your index.html file ,and clicked onto your home page you may have to refresh(icon on browser) to see the changes.

ACCESSING THE WEBPANEL
AND MAKING A BACK UP OF YOUR INDEX.HTML
index.html is your website. if you corrupt or delete it, your site is no longer displayed correctly (or at all) on the internet.
- Log in to your Host4Profit WebPanel
** go to http://yourdomain.com/menu
*** using your Host4Profit user name and password
- Click the {File Manager} Icon
- Find your index.html file in the directory
- Note the icons on the right
** hover over each one to see what it does
****rename {abI}
****delete {X}
****view {e}
****edit {!} {looks like a pen & notepad}
- click on edit
- there is an inside scroll bar on the right which is the file
- there is an outside scroll bar next to it (far right) for screen
- using the outside bar go to the bottom of the screen
****in the box that says 'new file name'
- type index.bak
- click 'save file'
**** now on the file manager directory you have 2 copies
- index.html
- index.bak
*** If you are going to attempt changes, edit index.bak
- open the file with the edit icon
- make changes
- click 'save file'
***** when you are done editing, view and test the changes
- use the view icon - does it look right?
- test the links or banners to make sure they work correctly
** click and see what happens
- make sure your page doesn't shut down when the links open up
- are you sure????
****if it works right****
- rename index.html index1.html
- rename index.bak index.html
****if it doesn't work right****
- attempt to correct the mistake in your HTML if links don't work
- attempt to correct display problems
*** or if problems are horrendous, simply delete index.bak
- and start over from making the back up of index.html
* keep trying
Lost index.html
If you have lost your index.html completely, open up a ticket at http://pluginprofitsite.com/support
- include:
** domain name
** Host4profit user name and password
I can restore the index.html but it will be the original 'out of the box' (with no source code) and you will then have to repeat the upload of your code from PIPS to your WebPanel (30 Days to Success) in order to get your source code back.
The version that will be restored will also not have any changes you had made, including those Darrin did for you.
If you have had changes done by Darrin prior to losing your index.html, then you will need to contact him and pay for his restore process. http://pipsitehelp.com/help.php

Article Submission Software
This software became available to me through a friend of mine for free. So I've decided to give my fellow PIPsters a free version of it to help them get some one way back links. The software comes preloaded with 163 article directories and you can even add your own favorite ones as well.

Changing your newsletter sign up id
The other day when I was changing the html in my site and adding and subtracting different objects, links, products etc. I has noticed that my "newsletter id" (shown below) was "pluginprofits" and not my own which is "youngnetprenuer". I had only noticed this because I had up loaded Mal Keenan's Home Business Success Vehicle splash page to my site and he had mentioned changing the "id" to my own. I had tested both ways. I signed up for the newsletter through the value of "pluginprofits" and my own "youngnetprenuer" and got a message back from Stone when i had signed up through the pluginprofits one and a message back from my self after signing up through mine. This is a very critical thing. Had i been getting traffic to my site, the visitors might not have signed up for the newsletter under me. Below is what the html looked like:

The html keeps going, but that should be enough so you can find it on your site.
The green is where you need to make sure your getresponse id is. This could help you alot. I know that every single one of my pages has/had stones id on it. So i have been changing it to my id while i am also adding adsense and doing other stuff.
I dont know if everyone's site is like this or not. Just make sure that your newsletter is your newsletter. Nothing against stone, i just wont everyone to know this is what i had noticed and it could help others out there. Also please correct me if im wrong, but I have tested it and it works in my favor since I have changed it to my id.

Hiding your affiliate links by creating a redirect URL......
Log on in your H4P WebEPanel, Click redirect manager down towards the bottom.
Type in what ever you want your new link to look like. [yourdomain.com/whateveryouwant>
Then type the affiliate link to your affiliate program in the next box.
Click "Add New Link" and your done.
You now can promote the new link with your domain in it, instead of the affiliate
link to help protect your sale and look more professional.

SEO Tips
It is possible to get to the top of the search engines without using fancy tools, SEO companies or black hat techniques.
(1) Choose Your Keywords
The first and probably the most important thing you should do is choose your keywords. You can use a free tool like the Overture search suggestion tool - http://www.pixelfast.com/overture/ but it's worth paying even for a short subscription to Wordtracker - http://www.wordtracker.com to get more in depth information.
You should aim to choose keywords that have a good number of searches per day - there isn't any point optimizing for a keyword phrase that nobody ever searches on. On the other hand you don't want to pick a keyword phrase that is too competitive. For example if you optimize for "home business" you'll find that you are competing with 4.1 billion other web pages!!! So it will be very hard for you to get to the top without having a full team of people working for you 
I've created a worked example here of researching a particular keyword phrase using Wordtracker and comparing two different phrases to assess which is the best:

(2) Optimize your Site
Choose one or two keyword phrases and optimize the index.html page on your site for this phrase. You can repeat this process as you like for other pages on your site using related keywords.
- Ensure that the Title of your page contains your keywords.
- Mention your keywords inside the meta tags. Most search engines no longer use meta tags, but some make use of them so it is still worthwhile using these.
- Try to make sure that the first occurance of readable text on your page contains your keywords
- Ensure that your keywords are mentioned in the initial paragraph of your page
- Use your keywords throughout the text of your page - but be careful not to overdo this. Your page should still be readable by humans!
- Use your keywords between the headline tags on your page ("H1" tags or H2/H3 if H1 is too big)
- Make sure that links pointing back to each page on your site contain the keywords for each page
- Occasionally bold or italicise your keywords
- Give all your images an "ALT" tag and put your keywords in here too - again, don't overdo this
(3) Build up backlinks
The more high quality backlinks you have pointing to your site, the higher a chance you have of making it into the first few pages of the search engine results.
To see how difficult it will be for you to compete with your competitors do the following:
- Type your keywords into Google
- Take a note of the URL of the top sites on page one and two
- put your URL and the URL of the competing sites that you found into this link tracking tool http://tools.marketleap.com/publinkpop/
You will now have a good idea of how many links you need to jump past your competitor!
You can get high quality backlinks to your site by:
- Submitting Articles to Article Directories
- Exchanging Links with other sites (reciprocal linking)
- Submitting your site to directories
- Posting in Forums
(4) Adding Content
Adding fresh content, in particular, original content will help to improve your search engine rankings too. You can do this by adding articles, new pages, or blogging regularly.
Finally, don't expect instant results, especially from Google. It can take weeks or months to see any results. Don't get disheartened, just keep ploughing on! |

CHECK YOUR URLS AT TRAFFIC SWARM!
JUST A HELPFUL SUGGESSTION!!
Good Morning Fellow Pipsters,
I have been meaning to post this suggestion for some time now, but I always seem to log off without doing so and I apologize for that.
Everyday I surf TrafficSwarm for my 250 allowable clicks as a free member, and while doing so I quite often see fellow PIPS ads for the sales page that do not go to the intended sales page due to the fact that the person that has posted the ad has accidentally entered their URL incorrectly. Just yesterday I seen three such ads. I also apologize for not taking the time to write down the URL of these misdirected ads so that I could be more specific as to the URL’s that are not working correctly.
Should a surfer click onto the ads with the URL listed incorrectly they are redirected to the generic PIPS page that shows the PIPS box with the prompt to click here for more info from the last person that told you about this. When this happens, I may be wrong but I think it takes that surfer to your sponsors sales page and not yours. Therefore should this person sign up you will not get the credit but your sponsor will.
The most common mistake that I see is that the URL that is listed uses the affiliate link and at the end they post it as; /mainxxxxx, which it should be; /main-xxxxx. Without that little (-) your link will not work properly. The xxxxx is your affiliate number of course.
When ever I enter a new ad on TrafficSwarm I always click onto my link in the set-up phase to be sure that it goes where I want it to go. I know we are all human and make mistakes, me included, but if you click onto your own links before you post your ad at least you will have the piece of mind that it works correctly. Also after you post your ad you can click onto your own links from your list of ads on your member page.
I hope this helps and not offends, for we all are wanting to earn money and not give it to someone else. My suggestion is that you check your ads to be sure that you have the URL entered correctly and that you do so each time you post a new ad.

How to run a effective traffic campaign using traffic exchanges.
Hi family,
Welome all new members, here my advice.
First thing to remember driving traffic to your site is only one part of your internet prences.
You have worked hard building your web-page. Now you want to drive traffic to it, while you are waiting for the search engines to index your pages. Which could be any where up to 3 months.
Don’t be discourage by this, there are things you can still do to expedites this process.
Ready
Write a review about your site at alexa.com. While your there check your traffic ranking,
Write this down on your calendar, as a bench mark.
Now type in yahoo.com, and type in your site, do this step on all of the major search engines.
Guess what you have just had your site index.
Now continue to write articles, post here at the forum, and posting to your blog, don’t forget to ping after every post.
Now about running a add campaigns on traffic exchange. First thing to remember go to download.com. And install on your computer S.E. personal Ad ware remover this is the most effective one I found so far. Run it and clean up your computer first. Then you might want to go over here to pick out a few traffic exchanges [url>http://www.edenday.org/bestautosurfers.html make sure what ever one you pick out you add the site you just want to build traffic to. Let them run when you are not busy writing and posting.
After running be sure to clean up your computer by running se aware removal and Empty temporary internet files when closing browser this can be done by check this box in the advance section of your internet options.

Article Optimization
Here is a great hint for newcomers(like me). There is a reason that Stone emphasizes writing articles in the day 11 training. Choose your keyword phrases carefully. Include them in the title and body of the article. Then go to your bio box (biography). Most Article directory bio boxes accept html. This is information about you as well as links to your website. You can "anchor text" using html in this box. Anchor your keywords as well as the url of your website. Here is an example:
Leonard Bartholomew(That's me), B.S. Computer Science, Is A Cardiac Computer System Administrator As Well As An Authority On Developing Home Based Internet Businesses Part Time. This will backlink the article from the article directory to your website, a tactic that will increase the search engine placement of the article as well as help your website if you do it through an article directory with a high pr(position ranking in Google). I have 1 article that went to #1 out of 23,100,000 for one set of my keywords today. 794 hits took place last month for the keywords I selected. I expect to get some traffic. It is only a meager start. Call it beginners luck, I have been working on keywords for over a month now with Perry Marshals program and when this little light went on I decided to try applying SEO(search engine optimization) and keyword principles to my article. Wham! Results!

SubDomain Adsense Sites
Hi All,
Here's an idea to maybe generate a little extra cash. What I did was create a sub domain and put home business article feeds and adsense on it. Then put a link on your website to it. Here's an idea of how mine looks: http://www.siriusfreehomebiz.com/internet-home-business-articles
Here's a step by step:
1. create a subdomain on your web panel
2. download a template here: http://freesitetemplates.com/
(you will have to open an account to download them)
3. extract files on your computer and then upload them to your newly created subdomain.
4. change the html code to suit your needs
5. insert your feed code(for this I burnt a feed from Go-Articles at FeedBurner)
6. insert your adsense code
7. insert some links to your affiliate programs, e-books and products etc, etc...
now most of the templates allow you to put in a logo or header. For this I designed one.
That's it, you now have an article adsense site. You can make as many subdomains as you like so pick a few good niches and make some easy cash.

I found out that it is really simple to update your site with Success University and your blog. When the page was created, it was made for easy updates and changes. You can see the finished job by going to my siggy and clicking on the first webpage link (Internet homebased business).
If you do not know HTML very well, I highly suggest using PIP Site Help and have Darrin McLaughlin set you up for a really good price. Anyway, here is what I did:
I opened up my index page in IE;
right click to view source;
Select all, copy and paste to notepad;
Saved as index.html in a seperate file within my PIP file.
From there, I went into the training page to day 15. Half way down the page, there is a link to see what your page will look like with the latest updates. I clicked on the link, did a source view and kept the html code in a notepad page. From here, I opened up my index page from above into another notepad page. I put both pages together to be able to view the code on both my index page and the sample index page.
Now, I kept open the sample page in IE as well as I opened up my index page in IE. That way I could see exactly where my placement of code was showing up. Thankfully, I got it right the first time.
As I would get to the source code for SU, blog and Dotcomology, all I did was copy the source from <TR> to </tr> in the sample page and paste it to my actual index page.
I then wen a little further down to copy the SU box code that sits directly below the Top Pick block of code. That's it other than saving the index file, logging into my ftp and uploading the new index page.
***A little note that I did not do: Save your original Mega-PIP index page before doing this. That way, if you do make a mistake, you can always reload your original page so there is no downtime to your bread and butter money maker!***
Like I said before, if you are not comfortable with this, just have Darrin from PIP Site Help take care of it for you. Today was suppose to be my day off, so I took advantage of it to get my blog together.

Tips on Buying Software
Hi,
Here are some good tips before you buy any software, if it helps those a bit strapped for cash:
1) Always do a Google search on the "productname + review"(eg. SEO Elite+review if you are planning to buy SEO Elite) to find lots of reviews and go through those that are not of affiliates of the same. This will give you a good idea whether its worth your money.
2) Always try out the free trial of a software if they offer one, before you actually go ahead and buy it. Google on "productname+free trial".
3) Do also a Google search on "productname + rebate" to find anyone whos offering some discount for it purchasing through their link. Go through the first 5 or 10 pages of search results. If you are lucky you may spot some, though you may not find them always or for every product. But its sometime worth the search
4)Visit www.twopercentclub.com and see what I mean. Thats not my affiliate link Pat :))

Exporting Free Leads
For all of us beginners, In order to boost the number of leads in your getresponse autoresponder why not go to your empowerism site and export the free leads they give you every month. GR will send a conf. e mail to them and then you can put them into your campaign.
Its only 50 per month but every little bit helps, right.

Copy & Paste
As I am reading all the above excellent hints and tips, I want to emphasize the importance of “copy and paste”. When you get your “Welcome letter” from your web site, always, and I say always, check to see that the URL works and then “copy and paste” your info to notepad or Microsoft Word and save it. When you are adding your URL to a Traffic Exchange, always, and again always “copy and paste” it and check it again to see if it works properly. Preventing errors is important to our success online.

Article Bio Box Made Simple
Theres been a lot of buzz in the recent past about the importance of article writing both from the point of view of generating one way links as well as targetted traffic to your site. But this involves (apart from writing the article itself :)), as most of us are aware by now, having to insert your keyword links in the bio box or resource box under the article so that its linked back to your site. However, not many of us are proficient or comfortable with the use of HTML code. I want you to know that theres an easy way out of this problem. Experienced marketers already know it and are using it everyday. But I am writing this for the newbies :). So you experienced guys, go have a beer meanwhile!
Its very easy and simple! Have you ever noticed a suite called 'Microsoft Frontpage' (if you have it. Its standard with XP) in your computer which is probably gathering dust somewhere deep down in your hard disk. First go fish it out in case you haven't done it yet and open it up.
Now, if you look down and to the left, you will notice 3 panes called 'Normal', 'HTML' and 'Preview' in there. These 3 panes actually offer you 3 different views of the same thing --namely the web page that you intend to publish. The 'HTML' pane shows you exactly that--the HTML code of your page. If you press the 'Preview' pane, you will get to see how its going to look on your browser after you publish it. The 'Normal' pane shows you, well how do I put it--a mixture of both? Well its very much like the 'Preview' thing, but it also highlights the different components and elements that make up your page so that you can manipulate them (move them around, etc) to your liking and desire. Off course after each tweak, you can always go and see the result of your ingenuity by pressing on the 'Preview' pane. Thats the reason why most of the time we would like to work with the 'Normal' pane view. Now heres how we can quickly write an article bio box with this gizmo in 3 easy steps.
1) First, press the 'Normal' pane. Its blank now, right. Simply type in whatever it is that you want to see in your author bio box as you would into a program like 'Word' or a text document. Just don't make it a long story :) Keep it short and sweet.
2) Next, highlight whatever word or words (or keywords as we call it) you want by holding left mouse button and dragging on it. Then press the 'Insert' option in the top main menu and click on 'Hyperlink' in the rolldown menu. Type in your site URL in the 'Address' field provided there and click 'OK'. This action will link the highlighted text to the URL you just typed in. Thats all there is to it! You're done! Press the 'Preview' pane and you will see how its gonna look after its published. You will find that the words you highlighted earlier have become workable links that will ship you to your site if you only click on them.
3) OK, so now you want your HTML code. Easy, simply press the 'HTML' pane and cut out whatever matter you find there has appeared between the body tags (i.e. the <body> and </body> tags). Now paste the matter into a text or word file, save it and use it whenever and wherever you want to give your bio information.

Get Connected
Because I live in a rural area, dialup was the only internet connection available. Then a neighbor hooked up with a broadband wireless provider but the cost seemed high. Then another neighbor with the same service invited me over to check out it out- I was impressed, but was not expecting what happened next. Now my dialup seemed so excruciatingly (28 kbs) slow I couldn't stand it.I stopped posting at forums,and my business because it took too long to get anything done. I began to see what Rosalind Gardener was talking about when she reccommended broadband over dialup. Even the HP "Tune up your PC course" I was taking reccomended a faster connection as the only other tip to improve PC performance over the course. My dialup had an acceleration feature that showed how much time it saved. After being hooked up to highspeed for three weeks, I can say that doing so has probably saved me three months of time over the dialup. I can also access videos, down load files and get way more done which makes me more effective in doing PIPS. After all, if time is money, and a faster connection saves you time, you should make more money, shouldn't you?

GET MORE SUBSCRIBERS BY USING NEWSLETTER CO-OP SERVICES
Hi everybody,
I've found that by joining an ezine subscription co-op, that I've been able to add 30 subscribers to my PIPS Newsletter list in less than a week. The particular co-op that I'm using is [url>http://www.optinboom.com (not my affiliate link), but I'm sure there are others out there.
How is works is you sign up, add one line of code to each HTML page on your site, and that will create a pop-up ad with about 12-15 different email lists which your visitor can subscribe to. Second Domain
Something I just did:
Even with the domain name you start with for the PIPS site, there is a file name tagging along side your domain:
http://www.blahblah.com/pips.html.
Why not get a second domain and forward it to this one that your link looks more professional to your sales page:
http://www.blahblah2.com
It's not hard.I used godaddy and simply forwarded my new domain to my pips sale page.

GREAT SITE FOR ARTICLE SUBMISSIONS
I came across a really great site for Article Submissions - you can use the free option which sends the article to a lot of sites or you can make a donation to send to even more sites. I submitted 2 articles on the 11 September and they were distributed on the 15th using the free option - so there is very little delay. Also what is great is that you can view your stats and see the sites that your articles were submitted to.
I also submitted my testimonial which has already been indexed and showing up in MSN.

HOW TO BYPASS YOUR BROWSER'S CACHE
I thought I would pass on this neat trick that I learnt today.
I had to remove ad block code from a lot of pages on my site today due to the program having to change hosting company. Each time I changed a page and checked my site each page affected came up with the "Done, but with errors on the page" in the bottom left hand corner of the browser plus the changes I had made did not show up. I have experienced changes not showing up before and settled for the fact that it just took time, but I have not had the Error sign before.
I deleted cookies and temp internet files and refreshed, refreshed and refreshed to no avail. I then wasted a lot of time checking html (which I might mention I am not skilled at - I cut and paste and learn by trial and error!!!).
However, in my search on the internet to find something that could help me detect this error I came across this site - www.numion.com/stopwatch/index.html , which is great for testing the download speed of your site, amongst other great things.
Tip: to reload a page and bypass the cache of your browser:
Internet Explorer:
Hold the Control key and click the Refresh button on the toolbar.
Mozilla, Firefox, Netscape Navigator:
Hold down the Shift key and click the Reload button on the navigation toolbar.
Safari:
Hold down the Shift key and click the Reload toolbar button.
After I had done this my site showed no more Error icon and the changes have taken place!!!!
Anyway I hope this little tip will help others.
