Freemarket discussion feature

What is the discussion feature at the bottom of listings.

I have tried countless times to contact sellers and received no response. There seems to be no other ways to contact sellers through the site as well.

Does the discussion even notify them if they receive a message? Does it even notify me if I receive a message? How?

Not trying to be harsh here, but most of the listings have no data to do any real due diligence so one has to contact the seller for more but this seems impossible through the current freemarket setup, since I'm not receiving any responses back.

Let's hope this post doesn't get deleted here like my last one. Since freelancer took over warrior forum, it seems any criticisms of their sites gets banned, even though I'm trying for make them aware of an issue to improve it.

    Hey nequity,

    When you post a message in the discussion, an email gets fired off to the owner of the listing. I can't hazard a guess as to why their not responding to you. We are working on other ways to let you contact the user on the site, although I can't disclose anything just yet.

    We're not removing any posts from this forum, so need to worry about that. Keep the improvement ideas coming!

    Ha no response here either!

    Well I checked over some of my questions (the ones I can remember as there is nothing that tells you which sites you are actively discussing on) and not one response and they were all pretty normal questions.

    You have some major teething problems that I hop you can sort out. The site is nice and clean looking and just needs some important features and it can become a serious competitor out there. For now, its a bit of a dud, no offence.

      Yes it does, responses all trigger off an email.

    This feature is still not working properly. I'm in the middle of a handover and I keep receiving emails that the buyer sent me a message, but I can't see the message on the handover discussion page.
