Am I debt free? No... but it has recently become my passion. I hate, I hate, I hate debt. All it does is restrict my ability to do things. I used to think debt was the greese that allowed business to continue. Now I realize that we lean on debt a lot more than is required.

Being debt free allows you to live like a King even on a modest income. If you have no debt, including your house, you could live just fine working at the lowest level of WalMart or McDonalds. With a modest income you could travel the world, lay on the beach, and never worry about being laid off or held hostage financially.

People can get anxious and start buying stuff they don't need on credit and pay the price down the road.

With the high interest rates and hidden charges, its virtually impossible to pay everything off.

Unless you have a structured plan. And.....stick to it.
