How to ask my reader to share the content and give me their email address

Hi,
I am looking for a strategy to get the readers of my blog to both share the content they are reading and give me their email address.

I use a wordpress blog with Popup pro. I use Sendy for email marketing.

I have a few options. Which one is the best:

1) a button that would do both.

A text box in a popup to input the email address, when you click on Submit it pushes the email address to my db and it opens the FB share dialog.

2) an autoresponder

I could just ask for the email address using a popup and then have an autoresponder asking to share the content they've just read.
For that I need to tweak the registration form of Sendy so that it would pick up the URL of the current page and include that as "referrer" in the db entry along with the email. Then I could use that referrer to customize the autoresponder.

3) How about a facebook app which would collect the email address of the user and share a link on their timeline?

Create social groups or discussion boards and forums. The options you mentioned are poor.

Launch a Giveaway then require them to subscribe to your email and gain more entries by sharing. Depending on Prize and if its related to your business you'll have fans all interested in what you sell.

That's the quickest and easiest way if you aren't an experienced internet marketer.

Two different beasts with two very different approaches.

Looking at subscribers for your newsletter, what makes your readers go to your site?
How many do you even have and how many are return readers?
Most of these people would happily sign up to your newsletter if you provide a space in a sidebar widget (without harassing or forcing them to sign up) if you give a simple offer of giveaways, promotional tools and to stay in the loop with new blog posts on your site.
This is why, if you offer quality blogging, you will be bale to build your DB.

As for sharing, it's a similar concept. Have social media buttons available at the bottom of a post (at the top is a poor design, because people will normally choose to share AFTER they read the content, and they don't want to scroll back to the top to do so), and ask your followers to share, without sounding needy. Remind them to share if they enjoy the content or to share with a friend that could use the advice, etc.
The main thing that will get them shared, however, is your ability to create compelling content. No one is going to share mediocre information, it makes them look bad.

Why not try a content locker plugin? They must share your content to unlock the freebie
