$10 Million in Sales from Free Social Media Traffic (Examples)

This post is for your inspiration..

You think internet is dead? You think SEO doesn't work anymore and it's too damn hard to generate traffic using Social media or content marketing - well you are dead wrong.

I was recently watching the latest episodes of Shark Tank, and I was quite happy to see that people with very little experience, almost zero advertising budget were able to reach $10 Million in sales.

I thought to myself - this could be a great inspiration for people starting out.. who believes that the internet is too damn tough to build a serious business. Trust me guys - internet still remains one of those platforms.. where a mere nobody can come up with a product idea and can make millions without any great marketing and advertising budgets.

When I noticed a couple of companies claiming to make close to $10 Million in sales, I took the time to watch all the episodes and list all these companies and their numbers for you to glean some insights from them.

(In the list below not all companies are making $10 Million, but most of them are close to that mark).

Let's dive right into the companies...

Ain't those numbers exciting.. specially for businesses that are less than a couple of years old.

No more excuses, go out there and make a killing...

Let me know if I missed out on any that you think fits this list of brands that primarily sold over online and reached beyond a million dollars in sales.

Of course the fact they've all been featured on Shark Tank is a huge factor of their success - you cannot get much better in marketing.

I saw the episode with reddressboutique when it first aired, went to visit their site, and found they had crashed due to all the traffic.

So saying these guys did it all thanks to social media is a bit of an understatement.

The sales they have claimed was before they featured on SharkTank.. the numbers I've given are their claims and not part of after sales from the SharkTank episode.

Awesome post! When the spark ignites, helping your products go viral (like a feature on shark tank as mentioned by LABEshops) people will talk about it and they talk about it on social media.

deliver value to people and they'll talk about you. value could be a laugh, a smile, solving a problem, saving them money etc...

help them be a hero to their friends by them telling their friends about your product/service. people like helping people and getting recognition. THIS is the true grit behind successful social media campaigns. People want recognition and to be thanked for sharing your info.

I love The Shark Tank - its a great show! It is amazing to see the products in store, too.

The best way to get your information shared is to have a significant value to the information.

A few of those ideas are pretty catchy like the squatty potty. Very funny!
