Do you guys have an Affiliate Program? Give the affiliates a good payout and let THEM drive traffic. They are the one's who are "specialist" because they keep up with the latest traffic methods.

Alex Jefferies (sp?) had a cheap guide on getting affiliates to drive traffic to your product.

If you want to do it yourself, target lots of LONG-tail keywords since they rank faster and convert better. "Hijack" your competitors popularity and mention why your site is a better alternative. Keywords like "is gofundme the best crowdfunding platform" or "is indiegogo better than gofundme" or how much does gofundme and indiegogo charge" or what is the difference between kickstarter and gofundme" or ....

These crowdfunding platforms get more searches than yours but you can mention how you guys are having a promotional or sale or whatever incentive you guys have as a start-up.

I love videos since you WILL get clicks as long as you're above the fold in search engines.

Go to Q and A sites or forums and search for people interested in crowdfunding. Answer their questions and mention your start-up.

    Do press releases.

Make (advertising) deals with websites with causes or adversity type subjects or where ever your target audience would be.

Hope that gets the ball rolling for you.

    Good luck,
    Charlie

Quora, Yahooanswers or sites that have users asking questions. If they are relevant to your site you can respond with a link to your site?

      Just some ideas.

You need to run some PPC & Social media campaign.

You should get in touch with relevant top news blogs
and get featured in the news.

Also, some offline campaign can not be ruled out.
Things like radio jingle, magazine ads, classified ads,
    posters, tv and more.

    Good luck.

For beginners, building targeted traffic is difficult. There is a famous quote.

"Success can be achieved only through efforts"

If you have this massive effort, you can do it easily.

Strategy #1: Write long, thorough blog posts

Small, short blog posts have no future.

Read it again. Neil Patel says the average content length for a web page that ranks in the top 10 results for any keyword on Google has at least 2,000 words.

Is “Content” king? The research says it all – “lengthy content” is king. Not just the “content”.

    Strategy #2: Build good links

Link building is incredibly important for websites. This is the process of creating links that point to your page from other pages. This will happen naturally as you create quality content, but there are some things you can do to help build links yourself.

4 Ways to Increase Website Traffic - wikiHow

Strategy #3: Guest post on other blogs, and invite other bloggers to guest post on your site

Guest posts are a great way to drive traffic between related blogs, and allow you to gain readers that might not normally make it to your site. Be sure to allow any guest posters to link back to their own site, and share any guest posts the same as you would your own posts.

    Strategy #4: Blog Commenting

First off, commenting on blogs is quite possibly the most overlooked method for building blog traffic – mostly because people suck at making quality, meaningful conversation with strangers. However, blog commenting is a quality method for building traffic that also happens to be free – can’t argue with that!

    Strategy #5: Get Social

It’s not enough to produce great content and hope that people find it – you have to be proactive. One of the best ways to increase traffic to your website is to use social media channels to promote your content. Twitter is ideal for short, snappy (and tempting) links, whereas Google+ promotion can help your site show up in personalized search results and seems especially effective in B2B niches. If you’re a B2C product company, you might find great traction with image-heavy social sites like Pinterest and Instagram.

    Strategy #6: Target Long-Tail Keywords

Got your high commercial intent keyword bases covered? Then it’s time to target long-tail keywords, too. Long-tail keywords account for a majority of web searches, meaning that if you’re not targeting them as part of your paid search or SEO efforts, you’re missing out

If you are planning to be in this business on the long haul, the strategy that gives you the best ROI in terms of traffic generation is Content Marketing.

Write 1000-2000 blog posts, focus on quality that answers the search intent of the keyword. Do a lot of keyword research. Track your ranking with RankReveal.com, when you see new keywords ranking for your site that's not on first 3 pages, pick that keyword up, work on more content for that keyword. Iterate and repeat. You will soon own a traffic powerhouse.

Our content from past 3 years are still sending us traffic, on top of all the fresh content we generate.

Yeah, that's where I'd start after doing the usual neccessary on site SEO etc. You can run some Google Ads fairly cheaply to see what works and likewise Facebook Ads. Ads can't be used as arbitrage in a big way unless you've got lots of cash. Ads are really a supporting piece of marketing, you really want to get customers to visit you by word of mouth.

OK traffic is easy to get it depends what type if you want to pay for it and all that. Lets say you want to lay down some #s and test your funnel a bit. Try a service like admefast My wife asked me how to get sales to her Amazon site. No google craps or slaps ;-0

All the advice above is really good. Unfortunately I cant access your site from my network (your site isn't down its my network) currently, however will give some advice anyway.

With crowd funding websites you have to keep in mind that you obviously have two very different types of people you are marketing to.

On one side you have developers/startups and on the other you have a mix of people who possibly follow existing crowd funding sites and like to invest in ideas.

I would market to the developer and startup first so you fill your website with a good number of projects posted and then switch to marketing to the funders as well. Both take very different approaches. The developers will be hardest to market to because no one likes to place a project on a site with no projects.
