I recently went through some articles like News In Shorts raises $20M funding from Tiger Global, to launch a personal recommendation engine -- Yourstory.
but the problem i am facing is I dont know anything about technology and creating a app like newsinshort its cost also too high. Any advice please...

Thanks,

Edit: (Found the app of my dreams)

Thank you for your speedy response everybody, I went through all the answers and found that appoets.com offers exactly what I wanted and that too for free, I contacted their support for the product installation on my servers they were prompt and set up everything with ease. I'm excited to start off with my own news app and looking forward to grow and market the app. Thanks again for everybody else who is in the same page as me and wants to give it a try here's the link

Find someone who is an expert in that field. Make them a partner owner. Or pay them, which is the hard part.

A friend of mine started Sportsnut (sportsnut.in) has taken the sports news world by storm since launching a week ago and getting featured in the IndianExpress. They are primed to become the market leader for crisp sports news

There is Point Blank News (pointblank.news) . It is a script that you can use to start your very own branded NewsinShorts like app for your local language, your country or a niche which you'd like to dominate. You can read more about it here: News in Shorts Clone Script (appoets.com)

    Cheers!

You shouldn't try to invent a new app just to start a news website. Use existing software or even blog software like Wordpress and start small. The content will be the most important thing, which you can hire freelancer writers to do for you.

Hi, many people don't know the exact meaning of a start-up. A start-up is an idea or a thought related to a business, which could be anything. However, when a business has already been commenced, it's lot more than a start-up, it becomes a "small business". Therefore, you need to first clarify at what stage you are currently. Secondly, if you have thought about starting a business in local news, you need to be very specific with the segments or niche. If you're looking for "broadcasting local news", then you need lot of investment. If you're looking for publishing local news stories, then it is entirely based on the digital marketing ecosystem around that niche.

For starting, you should plan what kind of news you would like to broadcast or publish. Choose the niche, is it politics, business, finance, lifestyle, current affairs, or any other. If you're facing a tough time deciding, simply you could get a consultation. There are many amazing agencies out there, which can help you with business consultation. I can recommend one, with whom I had taken consultation, when I started my business. They offer a free consultation based on your requirements. They also have some great services for the start-ups DYNAMIX - IT Solutions

If i was in your shoes, i will buy an existing blog from say flippa, convert that to an app and promote it aggressively.

Saves a lot of time while i concentrate just on marketing.

When we startup, the most important thing that we must mention is how much money in our pocket... If we have no money, how can we start-up, or we startup with the empty pocket?

This may be helpful, but it may not be the answer you want. I had a lot of ideas before like starting my own bank, etc., but these are markets that are already mature which means it is very difficult to enter unless you already have a lot of money. No one is going to give someone money to do something they haven't done. They want to see a track record, results, a plan of action, a portfolio, something that will give them an edge in a market. One way to bring something to the table is to work in the industry for about 10 years so you learn the ropes. One book I read said that most businesses failed, but if somone had worked in the industry for at least 10 years before going out on their own, then their success rate was much higher like 50%. Another way to be successful is to study something for about 10,000 hours of intense study. For example, Bill Gates apparently put in that much time before writing his software program. I have looked at lots of different businesses that seem easy. I have found everyone is trying to do the same thing as everyone else. The the patent for the telegraph or telephone, I believe, was registered by two different people in different parts of the country and were less than an hour apart. They had to use the time zone in the court case to determine who owned the pattent. Multiple people were trying to fly at first but the Wright brother made first flight (apparently). People making mone don't advertise this. They are just in the background making the money becasue they got in on the ground floor and built their systems so they could keep the competition out. Lots of ideas I have had, other people have made a few years latter, but unless you have the money or the skills to get the money, etc. etc. So the best way to make it big I believe is to get in on the ground floor when something is just taking off and the opportunities are still wide open then you will probably not be able to make it. There are generally no shortcuts to success. Some people talk online talk about watching for the next wave and jumping on that, There may still be room to make it with Apps, but at a certain point so many people are trying to do the same thing that the market is saturated. One of the principles I learned in my economics class is that the profits in any industry, unless its protected with patents or a secret formula, are zero over time. Why? Because everyone sees someone making money so they find a why to do it for less or better or faster and charge less and the price goes down and down until there is no profit left. If you are serious about building an app, start studying. If you don't want to write the code, learn how to market apps online--10,000 hours. Hope this is helps.
