Another Question on Workflow

I'm very much a systematic type of person and curious what is the flow of your work once you start with a client? Let me give an idea of what I've been working with.

1. Site Analysis
2. Market Research
3. Keyword Research
4. Data Capture / Marketing Funnel
5. Conversion Rates
6. Visitor Tracking
7. Social Media
- Blogging
- RSS
- Twitter, Linked In, Facebook
8. Reputation Management
9. Press Releases
10. PPC
11. Link Building
- Directory Submission
- Niche Directorys & Review Sites
- Location Specific
= Backlinking
12. Guest Posts
13. Content Marketing
14. Viral PDFs
15. Content Hubs & Feeder Site
16 Article Marketing
17. Audio / Video
18. Blog & Web 2.0 Site Distribution
19.Bookmarking and Social Sharing
20. Review, Adapt, Innovate, Implement

Rinse and Repeat

This isn't perfect by any means nor exhaustive but it's a start I'd be interested in any input on order of items or other steps that can be fit into this system. I've written more detailed information about each step but didn't want to bore everyone with it.

Thanks
Fred

Hey Fred, great post! I'm very much like you in that I love work flows etc, and yours looks very solid! You should add the processes, I'd like to discuss them with you, and perhaps chime in a little.

    One note:

I would personally move #10 to #7, and set up a few small PPC campaigns to start testing the keywords you have collected, and then start using those converting KW's to craft your social media/blogs/press releases etc.

    Just my 2 cents

    Nice work flow!

Every second month I will recreate a brand new work flow with flow charts and stuff, then I'll look at where we bottleneck and figure out why we move slow in areas, where, reasons and the add solutions. Often my solution is to reduce the work flow. Instead of added a new process that needs to be managed by a person, I'll try to completely automate it or at least automate as much as possible.

Then when implementing the new work flow, everything moves a bit faster and steady.

But I always start off with getting as much information as possible, even if it's only semi-relevant. I believe in working fast and destroying deadlines with high quality work and often the slowest aspect of dealing with clients is communication.

Prepare -> Look a head -> Minimize work needed -> Reduce time needed -> Finish Client -> Rinse & Repeat.
