I feel like I'm spreading my extra money around in several baskets until one starts to generate the sort of money I would like to see.

My question is what advice would you more experienced guys have for me to earning $500 a day with the ability to delegate most of the operation tasks.

If you're focusing on multiple things and waiting for one to take off you're doing it wrong. Focus on ONE thing, figure it out, and then scale from there. You can make that ONE thing work, it'll just take some testing and tweaking on your end.

KeyboardHustler is right. Focus on one thing. Are you looking at the long term or short term? Clickbank is very short term. Now, I am not saying you shouldn't do it, but pick something that aligns with your goal AND is something you believe you can pull off. Some people are great are writing copy for squeeze pages for affiliate sites. Some people are great at running ecommerce sites and sourcing products and promoting them. What about yourself?

I think you are not focusing on a single project.
Want to earn huge $ in short term then You can chose affiliate marketing. But it never gives a continues income .
second option is blogging revenues from Adsense . it is very hard to get $500 k per month at starting But you can achieve this target with in 6-7 months.

Master a skill and sell services.

Then, outsource those services and elevate what you are doing from technician to project manager and salesman.

We started out building WordPress sites for people while working on our own authority sites to gain experience... That turned into reselling hosting, keyword research sessions and on-site optimization work. That turned into SEO campaigns and content management packages. Mix that with a few new clients per month as we were adding more 'services' to our menu and it got way busy FAST!

Then we started outsourcing the most annoying parts and continued focusing on getting referrals and bringing in clients.

Now our authority sites produce way more revenue than that business model did, but that model gave us the freedom to stay out of a cubicle factory & commute so we could work on our stuff when and where we wanted.

First part question, with a skill whether its web design, content, social media, etc. So is this at a local level? Also, whats the best way to get clients that will pay you? It seems like local businesses don't want to spend money because they have overhead and high rent, high payroll??

Second part, when you talk about an authoritative site, please tell me more. Is it like a blog that talks about a specific industry. Then once you get traffic, put adsense? or what? Can you give me examples? Or is this the more of a Pat Flynn thing?

Also, many business owners have old ugly html sites and we have helped them migrate it to WordPress because it 'works better' (google loves WP) and it is easy to update...

A well timed 'I can help with that' works... And have a $/hour price that is a great deal for them in case they would like to just pay you by the hour. 80 hours at $25 per hour (that'd be an average of 20 hours per week) is $2,000.

Business owners are often at their shops/cafes, they go to chamber networking events, they go to MeetUp groups, they are everywhere! Just gotta get conversations going (and if you need help with this, Dale Carnegie's How To Win Friends And Influence People is a great book to help there).

We stick to WordPress because it works really well and it is easy for business owners to update when they want... That was our 'One Skill'

An authority site would be a website in a niche you enjoy writing about, creating videos on, etc. Something you could create content for a few years and still enjoy it...

This is your asset that you can build up and with consistent effort, you can generate a ton of traffic, build a list and offer affiliate products or create your own products to sell.

I don't want to put any links in here to authority sites... But they are usually niche wordpress sites on specific topics run by one or a few people....

If you Google 'Astrology' you'll find some in that niche. Google 'Rock Climbing' and there will be some there, too.

Every niche has relatively normal people like you and us (is anyone really 'normal'?) who have spent years building out a YouTube channel, a WordPress site on a subject or subjects we love... And then other people who love that find the channel/site and subscribe.

Then when we say 'Check out this new great thing we bought' to the subscriber base and include an affiliate link, a certain percentage of those people go buy it to...

Another great book that helps paint a picture about these ideas is 'Choose Yourself' by James Altucher. It is like $.98 on kindle and he even says in the book that he'll send you a copy if you cant afford it, just reach out to him. He has a great blog, too (his name dot com).

His blog is an authority site in its own right for entrepreneurs, self published authors... Just a geeky guy who writes about his passions and ideas and he has a HUGE following. This is how he is able to launch to the best seller list, because he is leveraging the power of his audience he built through his authority site.

I currently have two full time Virtual Assistants, I have them focus solely on the things that have already made me money. I get them to repeat the process over and over.

The easiest and most profitable thing has been posting videos to Youtube

They have taken over the entire process, all I do is profit.

My cost is $300 a month, total

Lol. Most of these answers aren't very good from what I'm seeing.

Lesson #1: Stop being a consumer and start being a vendor. Sell something. The moment I started selling something is when my life changed nearly overnight.

Selling affiliate products is selling something indeed... but why sell someone elses' stuff when you can sell your own? Doesn't really make sense lol. Working hard and working smart are two different things.

I use affiliate marketing, when you start it just choose the right product, then promote the product and get cash every sale. And don't be disappointed, if you fail, analyze it and start it again.

For me personally, selling Tshirts on Teespring is the best way to go about making money online.

You can design your own Tshirts around a specific niche and then sell them to people who are passionate about that niche (For ex: fishing, sports etc ..)

Facebook PPC is a really good way to sell Tshirts and I almost always make a profit when advertising my shirts on facebook.

Also, you can pretty much outsource everything if you want ... from designing the Tshirt to selling it.

Just hire a couple of Filipinos at OnlineJobs.ph and let them do the hard-work while you count the profits.

Do something you can re-use. So even if you don't make any revenue from it, you can re-use that sweat equity for something else.

I built a game that didn't launch, I was then able to become a gaming consultant with the knowledge I gained.

Make yourself go forward, no matter what.

I think the answer is figuring out who you are selling to.. and specifically where they are "hangin out" This thinking is the essence of Growth Hacking.

So who are you needing to sell to? People that lived in Hawaii and people that lived in Japan would be my guess.

Where on the internet are these people hangin out at?

And for the love of pete... you are more than likely going to be selling to people that cant get this in the community where they live INCREASE your prices! If you are shipping from the USA - make a point to make that visible.

PS get "Black Cat" gum... and I personally would probaby be your best customer!

Since you already have a Web site, look for vendors that offer related but non-competing products and see if they have an affiliate program. Stick to familiar products and brands - they're easier to sell. To promote those products:

Place simple text or graphical ads in appropriate places on your site
Include links to purchase products you review or recommend in a blog, discussion forum or mailing list you control
Create a dedicated sales page or Web site to promote a particular product

They all work - it just depends on how much time you have to spend on it and your level of expertise with Web design and marketing.

How much time and money do you have to invest into this?

If you are wanting to learn about PPC, I'd head over to WordStream's PPC University. If you've got the money, hire them.

I'd also consider looking into investing into a copywriter as your product sales copy your site is in serious trouble. Check out CopyBlogger for some great tips. CopyGrad is a site I recently came across. Will would probably be a more affordable option, not because his quality is worse, but because he isn't a multi-million dollar company with all the overhead that comes with that

If you are looking to build a blog, I'm on a journey and running a scientific experiment on how to go from a no-name writer to A-list blogger. My plan is to follow the guides of 10 marketing masters and learn from their blogs, eBooks, and guides.

BTW, for the record, $500/day isn't $2k/month

Give serious thought to starting an email list. Build a buyers list selling your own low ticket item. Keep growing the buyers list and market higher ticker items such as $27 , $47 and a done for you $497 upsell, and perhaps your own personal coaching.

Working hard alone will not get you far in online business, you have to work smart also, and you have to make a little investments on advertising so that other people can see it or else your business will not grow and you have to be honest to your prospects and client always. On a related note. I have a couple of Kindle books that aren't exactly flooding my wallet. (one book I wrote, the other is an antique public domain work that I wrote a forward to) I'm leaning toward creating a blog on the same topic as the book that I wrote. Using the blog to create some e-book sales and then adding affiliate links to products related to the topic. The reason I'm "thinking about it" instead of telling you how it worked is because I'm more than a little wrapped up in cutting loose a bad real estate investment while at the same time renovating my home. While I'm making plans and pre writing blog entries, I know better than to go live with something while all this chaos is happening. It couldn't help but carry over.

Anyway, the short point of that long digression is, even though your ebooks have made small money, they have made some money. maybe you should look at promoting them better.

I love the Japanese snack idea. I have long believed that there is no such thing as "too niche" because a small .0001% of the population still wants what they want. It's better to be at the head of a small group than lost in a big one. Your niche idea could make you good money.

I made a couple thousand dollars really quickly with affiliate marketing but it drops off really quickly if you don't keep up with it. Maybe do something like that to get some money that can then be reinvested into advertising something you think will be bigger.

Assuming your ebook sales weren't from friends and/or family members just trying to support you (I built an Android game that made money, but it was all friends and family so that doesn't really mean it's a fun game that people want to play), that might be your bigger something. Or the japanese snack site. I know a lot of millenials these days are into japanese culture.

You should hire come content writers, content writing is cheap just $2 to $3 per articles.
Get 100 articles on various topics from them and publish them. Do this each month and when you see the organic traffic rising, start selling adspace in your website.

I say stop waiting your money on PPC.you need to learn how to do it right and after you can do it.Start small let's say start with blogger pages it is free and you can write your posts or buy them.But you need to research so you can get best results.Also wanted to tell you that research in google like it was 2 years ago when you go and type in name in " _____" not working anymore.For this i use Market samurai.

I would say focus on the method that has brought in some initial revenue. Make sure it is a scalable method with long term revenue potential then go in and dominate it. Only focus on that! Good Luck

All business models online have a blueprint and steps to follow.

It's best to follow the path of the people who have made it in your chosen market and replicate their every moves.

All what you are doing and listed here is very profitable.
One problem is, you may be hiring the wrong people or simply don't have a clue of what it takes to really make money from them.

If the directions and instructions you are giving to people you outsource to isn't working then your failure have got to do with your inexperience. Horn your skills!!

Why not just look for low competition keywords/get articles written on them/open all social media accounts/use pictures and videos/launch project progressively and update your social networks each post and continue to add friends.

It's simple to generate $2k a month. I just picked $6235 from adsense through 2 blog site last month. One is about android app and another one is about celebrity. I get huge traffic last 3 months at celebrity blog. Focus on your target and follow all but apply yours you'll gain I swear.

Yea buckle down on 1 subject my friend. Or you will spread yourself too thin. Also I wouldn't invest in any traffic or niche unless I know it will be profitable. Are others making money in your niche? if so how? if not pick something else.

When you outsource the books, do you have an outline and all of the information compiled already or do you just tell them the subject and away they go?

I paid for a couple "systems" on how to make a killing self publishing through and related, however they were quite vague and didn't really go over the process of outsourcing, more so just the technicals of how you actually make money.

I don't know if focusing on one thing is the right thing to do. IMHO it's better to work in several directions untill you see the results and THEN focus on that thing. Otherwise if you just focus on one thing now when you are not sure that it will work out for you, you may go to a deadend.

Like what most has said. focus on one thing (ideally what's working). It seems like you have $27 success in kindle publishing. Focus on that and when you're making $500 a week from that then you can create other products you can UPSELL your kindle readers to (consulting, video courses etc...)

All it depends on u,first focus on one thing
second make sure you have a different but a very wide approach with that
third make sure you get a good review as well as ur customer gets a good review
fourth make friends with customers in a good way that they will generate u more help
fifth , $2k is nothing after that

It makes sense to get involved with something you are interested in. Otherwise you will fall asleep and start looking at pictures of naked women to ease the boredom LOL. If you are obsessed with Japanese Snacks, then go crazy online telling the world about it. Be an authority on it as they say. Everything else is a snoozer if you don't care about the subject matter.

Be the Japanese Snack King Guru. SEO, Blog, Podcast, VLOG, Invite guest speakers from Japanese snack companies, do open box tastings. Seriously that's what you have to do. Watch the dough roll in after a year of that effort.You may even get sponsored and then watch your ranking soar like an Eagle.

Man, there are so many ways to earn money online, it's not funny!
You're on the right track there with your two current ventures.
Build a list for your clickbank offer first, then you'll have that list
as an assent to serve you for a long time.
The Japan Snacks idea is cool. But you've got to sell a lot of snacks
to earn a lot of money. The profit margin is very low on snacks if you're
a retailer.

My advice is to think big. You could sell 1 item for $2k or 200 at $10.
Which do you think would be easier/give you the better roi?

Sell what you're already generating income from as a service to somebody who needs it that kind of service, and charge them $2k.

The big bucks is in manual labor... then consolidate what you learned... then turn it into an info marketing product.

Or... focus on what has made you money... do a 10 day sprint of CRO putting all you're skills into a single point of contact, until your $27 becomes a profit everyday.

Make sure you have a lead generation and nurture funnel so that repeat buyers can buy down the road.

$27 X 30 days = $810 - front end... Growth Hack your way up to 2k/mo.

You can do this in 1 day.

1) Learn how to setup basic sales funnels if you don't already know how, I recommend digitalmarketer.com for training, it's cheap and extremely detailed and actionable.

2) Learn to setup retargeting pixels on Facebook and another network such as perfect audience.

3) Pick a business type where they make decent money and probably already get some traffic, car dealers for example.

4) Make a list of 20 of them.

5) Call them and tell them you can improve their conversion rate on their website by around 15-30% almost overnight. How much money would that make them?

6) Charge $2000 per month, they will also need to spend another $2000 on advertising fees.

You think this sounds a bit too simple? I did it as a case study for a guest post that will be published soon. Almost exactly like the above, completely cold contacts with no data or social proof to back up my claims that I could deliver.

20 phone calls, 1 new £2000 client for very simple service setup.

You need to understand what you're good at.. If you're good at sales, do sales and hire ppl to do SEO . If you're good at writing, get gigs on freelance sites that can easily make $2k per month for u.

I think it's best to spend your time building something that will last in the long term. Like an authority site with high quality content. You won't see instant results in the first months but you can set some goals like earning $1000 x month when you reach 6 months and $2000 when your site turns 1 year.

Use affiliate marketing to promote products and earn a commission or even better make your own product. Just don't rely on Adsense since $2000 x month with just Adsense will be really hard.

$2000 a month isn't anything to laugh at. Especially when you are starting out building your own business from the ground up.

Remember that's what you are doing.

Personally I wouldn't bother wasting my time with one off income streams, they die quickly and then you have to think of a new way(s) to earn. Learn a skill, they always pay.

Graphic design
Sales ad copy (copy in general, email swipes, squeeze pages etc)
Product idea/creation
Social media marketing
Webpage design
Campaign Management

Something people will always want and they need. That's your bass line, any of those things can make you more than $2K a month easily. Concentrate on that. Once you are earning you can start building lists of people who use your services (then email market just like its any other list - 20% off a website your designing if they quote a coupon code from your email)

Then you can go down a few different roads, being an affiliate, teaching people your skill or you can expand upon that skill (outsource to reliable workers and pay well and you can take on a lot more work) or do them all.

Get a mentor if you really struggle. Best thing I ever did.

Dont forget that there's still thousands of ways to actually start a business online..

Build email lists that convert and sell solo ads
Dropshipping
Ebay Stores
Publishing
Starting Your Own Ad Agency
A networker (someone who introduces people who can benefit in a JV)
Sell things you make.

There really is a massive list just way to long to put on the WF unless I had a spare 48 hours.
