Growth Hacking with Apps?

Hi Guys
What sort of growth hacking methods do you think would work with making a game app for ios and android go viral?

    A share with friends feature. That's how games like candy crush and farmville went viral. Basically you have it to wear the user can share the game with their friends to advance farther in a level or obtain a certain reward. If the game is good it will spread pretty fast.

      That is interesting. Do you know if they also did paid advertising with a specific ad network?

    It might be worth asking in other forums too. I actually have no experience in marketing apps or phones so would be interesting to see what people have to say.

    You can however maybe send out texts with a link to download:

    Maybe if you sent a text out to 1000 people for example with a short message and a link.
    The link detects what phone they are using and directs android users to android app store and iOS to iOS app store.

    There are plenty of PPC text message campaigns to choose from.

    Like I said I don't have much experience in phone apps but that's my best idea.
