Expert advice : How would you growth hack this?

Here's a non-hypothetical situation for a small micro startup.

What would do to create sustainable growth if you could only do one thing?
  • Physical product sold on Amazon ( A lot of demand and competition for similar products )
  • Consumable product that any one can use, but main demographic seems to be women 26 to 56.
  • Tested 4315 clicks of Google Ads direct to Amazon . Estimated ~5.8% purchase conversion Rate ( break even ROI )
  • Tested a promotion : Customers share our promotion facebook and get 80% discount.
    - 17% share conversion from traffic coming from slickdeals.net and reddit
    - 10% purchase conversion ( customers using the coupon )
    - Each share on Facebook resulted in 2 impressions, 0 visitors ( ouch, I don't know why this is so low. )
  • Main objective : Drive initial sales to Amazon.

    Right there. If you are converting 5.8% directly to a Amazon product page. Imagine what you could do with a proper sales page?

    Then you have W A Y more control. heck you could even develop a mailing list... imagine that. "Join Our Newsletter and Get 15% Off Your Order Right Now" - sure beats 80% discount. AND you start developing... RETENTION! Wow!

    by gosh, since you were offering 80% off - you could offer free shipping and I'm guessing still be ahead of the game! ( I am thinking not only did you offer 80% off, you also did free shipping didn't you? )

    You need to think a bit further than selling product TODAY, and start focusing on TOMORROW. Right now you are shooting yourself in the foot! You will be in "start up" mode for the rest of your life at this rate!

    Create a capture page and give away your product away for $1 and get some reviews going. So not only do you have a new lead you just made a $1. Then you can email them about future products.

      Exactly this. You have to spend money to make money. You will build loyal clientele along with positive ratings that will greatly increase your conversion rate.
