I was thinking of trying Onlinejobs.ph

Onlinejobs.ph

Anybody use it? Any experiences with it?

I see that it"s a monthly fee, are there any alternatives that people like?

I'm looking at options. Seems expensive for a monthly, but if the talent is there it's worth it.

thanks!
M

If you want to do online job of some kind then go for Elance, I have been with this site for years and still recommend it. You can start as a free member, earn some money and buy membership. Freelancer.com is the same. These are two big market places for both work and hiring.

It does look like a scam to me.

If you are looking for writing jobs then I would go with Elance.com

If you live in the Philippines you can't just hire your help directly and skip the middle-man? I know sometimes it is worth it to have someone else help manage your VA's but there are also many drawbacks to that system.

I know! Believe it or not it's just as hard to find a good outsourcer IN the Philippines as it is from abroad.

It's hard, and I have the same problems. I wonder if there is a lower cost job board like onlinejobs out there. He charges like 49.99 a month I think. I know people that pay for a month and quit. But in that month they get a lot of leads.

  • $49.99/month actually gives you access to all the jobseekers in their database and you actually have the option of cancelling the account as soon as you find the worker that you want. They actually have a promo right now that gives you a 3 month subscription for only $89 if you're looking for something cheaper.

You could just go to their vetted worker section directly if you are looking for experienced workers that are ready for hire Vetted Filipino Virtual Assistants - We recruit, test, and stand behind these workers.

Yes Waste of money! I realized that all the ones that have decent reviews are considered vetted. If you click "hire Now" for vetted then you will pay john jonas $500 just because someone left a good review. As far as all the others on there. I only got 1 person apply to my VA job and she has zero experience. Tried to reach out to other who say they are available but no follow through.

You will do better with odesk where you do not have to pay $500 extra to get someone with good reviews and "vetted"

Also you may want to consider researching Replacemyself video modules to see if outdated. I have not seen too many updated reviews for this program.

It sounds kind fishy that they ask for a monthly fee right from the start... This is the first time I hear of them and already I don't like their thinking!

they have great cheap workers, but is the monthly fee right for you....they are kicking themselves with the monthly fee. you can use odesk...for free and still get the same quality if not better workers. so, they can keep their fee.

You can hire direct for $300 a month or less. The minimum wage in Manila/NCR Philippines is around $10.59 a day.

I've used them twice and found two very good and hardworking VAs for a great price. You don't pay monthly, once you find a worker, you can cancel that billing. You have to interview them and give them a trial run to prove themselves. Elance workers want more money than a lot of people here on WF are willing to pay.

Trust me if you are complaining about 50 bucks, you aren't going to be able to afford a worker from Elance

I used them from 2008-2011 to hire 22 VAs. robo916 hit it on the head.

You can get high quality part/full time workers for $100-$300 a month.

If you don't live in the Philippines it's not worth working for them because you'll get paid peanuts.

If you need repetitive tasks that are easily taught to be performed on a regular basis, use the site.

Be prepared to deal with the language barrier, but Google translate works well enough.

And they love the fact that you're actually trying to make their job easier.

Most of the workers are extremely humble, not accepting tips for their work, or end-of-year bonuses.

You'll need thick enough skin to cut them loose quick.

Your first few fulfilled services will tell you their level of quality and if they can be trained to suit your business, or not.

If you have glaring issues in their first job fulfillment, you'll always have those issues.

Small quirks can be trained out. Poor communication, rushing to get the job done, copying other people's work (if you're letting them write), and extreme language barriers can't -- or are too frustrating to overcome.

    Hope it helps!
