Alex Jeffreys does it right
A while back I had created a thread that didn't get a lot of attention, but it got a little criticism because I was talking about an online site that I joined and then started receiving between five and ten emails per day - all selling something.
The criticism was that this is internet marketing, and as an IMer myself, I should understand it. I shouldn't clutter up the forum with such useless threads. And besides, I could always unsubscribe.
So I explained to my critic that it bothered me more as a marketer than as a random person receiving too much email. And yes, I did unsubscribe...
Well today I'm contrasting that observation with one on the opposite side of the IM how to. Where that one was a "how not to do it", this one is a shining example of how it should be done...
I recently purchased "The Launch Bible" from Alex Jeffreys. I would describe it as an inexpensive yet hugely valuable info product. But the value wasn't only in the product itself. Just being on Alex's list has proved to be hugely valuable.
One of the first things I learned when I started learning IM is that for every email you send your list trying to get them to buy something, you should send them a few just giving them (no strings attached) something of value. This builds trust and loyalty - one of the most important things a marketer can have.
In the short time I've been on Alex's list he's sent along various video links and trainings - all of which could have been made into valuable products by themselves. But I got them just for being on his list. From buying a product that I paid less than $10 for, which was worth much more by itself.
This is not an "affiliate" review - I have nothing to gain by lying to you. I just like giving credit where credit is due.
