Hi all,

Can anyone explain why with Market Sumurai the SEOC(The competing webpages on the net using phrase match differ from the resuts obtained with google with the key word in quotes, with some words it differ's by about 100,000??
Is there a way to change the config so the searches are monthly not daily?

Thanks in advance
Rick

This is something that trips up a lot of users.

There are a lot of things that can affect this (including having different language or region settings inside Market Samurai vs Google, or just [surprising] changes in Google's index from one week to the next)

But often it's because people think Google is just one search engine...

...Actually, it's thousands.

(It's only now that Market Samurai has made the data easily accessible that people have begun noticing this though)

Here's a blog post explaining how Google works:

The Beast With 1,000 Heads | Noble Samurai

Tip: If you click on the arrow beside the result, you'll almost always get an identical result visiting Google that way (because it will make sure you're using all of the right search parameters and settings).

No - but let me explain why we chose daily, and not monthly...

When we were developing Market Samurai (years ago - for our own personal use) - some of the data sources that we used had daily keyword data.

Should we multiply the data by 30.42 (the average length of a month?) Or, keep the data as accurate as possible by using the raw daily figures?

We decided to stick with daily.

When Google released their monthly keyword traffic data (for the first time ever) we were the first tool to use this data - anywhere.

But now we had a problem - one piece of data was daily, another monthly - which measure should we use?

We decided to stick with daily traffic figures for everything.

There were some advantages to this (consistency in 28/29/30/31 day months, better accuracy on market value estimates as CPC figures can fluctuate a lot in a month, and also a faster moving benchmark that you can use to compare your site's traffic to - i.e. instead of waiting a month to see if your site is underperforming / overperforming, you get the data in a day)

So we stuck with daily traffic estimates because they were cooler

I hope this helps.

I think it is great. The best keyword selection tool I have found. It also is easy to find levels of competition for the niche your are interested in and gives great info for choosing niches.

I have been using since Feb of 2009. I also like that whenever they created upgrades you only have to log in and tell the software to upgrade.

I have both and I like both.

MNF is good for finding those small niches, then I like to really drill down using MS to find long tail keywords and to check out the competition, if the competition is too hard then I will give it a miss.

If I had to pick one, probably MS as I can target keywords better and filter out stuff to really get down to those easy money making niches.

Hello,

I'm using MS for a while now and IMHO it's one of the best keword research tool I ever had.

For the newbies in Internet Marketing , when you follow the ThirthyDay Challenge from Ed Dale, maybe you can get a free trial to Market Samurai. (I don't know for sure at the moment, we are still in pre-season training)

Regards,
Philippe

It's definitely worth watching the videos first with MS. You'll miss out half the functionality if you don't - well I did

Looks an excellent KW tool.

No, unfortunately.

However, we're offering new trial users a $97 discount. This is the lowest price available.

(If all you want are the keyword tools, they're free. It's the SEO analysis, link building, content-finding, rank tracking and all the other tools that you get for your $97)

We'll be carrying that "Beta" sign for a while - just like Gmail did (the guys on our development team have a similar development philosophy)

If you're wondering about the final few features that are slated for release - the Rank Tracker was released a few weeks ago, and I'm expecting news on some other features to be announced soon. (I wish I could say more at this stage)

Yes - you can

(You can get a free trial on our homepage too - but the 30 Day Challenge's trial is longer)

Yes - we give people a 40 day trial (so that they can get full use during the 30 Day Challenge, and don't get forced to buy if they run a day or two late on the 30 Day Challenge.)

I hope this helps you out.

My recommendation RE: Market Samurai...get it, free trial, discount, or full price.
Learn everything you can and get as much experience as possible on this "magic key" piece of software.
As far as I'm concerned, it is worth 1000's of dollars!

Very few software products amaze me and this is one of them!

Hi Brent

Are you still offering the $97 discount for M.S.? I wanted to try M.S. as a trial and then get it at this price. How would I be able to start to ensure this discount?

Thanks a lot

It doesn't "create" them for you, but it does find them. You can have it search through blogs, forums and Web 2.0 sites, like Squidoo and Hubpages. It also tells you whether the site is do follow or no follow, the page rank, how many back links the site has, and if it supports pingbacks or not. Just use the "Promotion" tab.

I hope that helps!

RichGal, did you get your installation sorted?

You can use Market Samurai on 2 computers at any one time: you need to open it up on whichever computer you are able to use it, then click on File in the top left corner. A pull-down menu will appear, and you want to click on Settings in that menu. You then click on General (which is probably where you'll land anyway) and click "Deactivate".

Now you'll be able to install it on your new PC.

If you still have installation problems, or if this didn't work, put in a support ticket about it, to Noble Samurai - Powered By Kayako SupportSuite

Hi guys, there is currently a 42% discount for Market Samurai. It ends at tomorrow thursday(10th of Sept) at 11.59pm sharp.

The discount code is: THANKYOU30DC

Or you can use the link below:

Noble Samurai

Make sure the code THANKYOU30DC is entered into the promo code box.

For those who are still sitting on the fence with Market Samurai, my advice is just go out there and buy it. In my opinion, it is way much better than Keyword Elite 2 and the best thing is that their customer service is top notch, this is what it all matters in the end. When the adwords module is out, they are going to officially increase the price higher than the current $149 price tag. So grab the discount while you can, left 2 more days only.

Just to share this just in case someone is looking for a discount code.

All the best.

James

Geeezzz I feel like I've just stolen this software at $87! Thanks for the code! I have MNF and it'll be interesting to compare both products...

Cha Ching.

My trial ends in like 3 days and even though I like using it (LOL, just using 1 module and love it), I'm too lazy to drop $150.

At $97, it's too tough to pass. Being a Mac user, I love that it runs on Adobe Air.

I definitely think that as far as keywords tools come this one is top notch. The free version is a great inside look at the tool but the paid version is awesome. I like using the seoc, seot and the seov a lot. I look at the in any niche I go into. Definitely worth looking at.
