Default Re: Market Samurai

Thanx for clearing that up zane. One more quick question....How accurate is Market Samurai compared to Free Keyword suggestion tool from WordTracker.

I research a possible niche keyword on MS and got a decent amount of SEOT (over 80) as suggested in the 30DC, but when i ran back the same keywords in Wordtracker keyword suggestion tool...the results were vastly lower for daily searches(like under 5 searches).

So now i'm wondering which tool is giving me a more correct interpretation of the keyword daily search term? because from the looks of it MS tells me i have a decent enough keyword to attempt the 30DC with, but Wordtracker keyword tools shows me the keyword is not really being searched. So i'm not sure if i should continue with my niche keyword.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanx

Lightbulb Re: Market Samurai

Hi ya guys,

I joined this forum to follow along with john/xfactors amazing adsense ebook.

After a bit of research i've hit a wall on whether to buy Market Samurai or micro niche finder (as mentioned in johns ebook)

The results produced by Market Samurai look a lot like a free online tool i used to use - i really like it. That sites gone now

But I also like the SOC in micro niche finder - the simple red/yellow/green dots to say if you should go with a keyword.

So anyway, two questions...

1. What is the simplest way to "recreate" the SOC score in MS -- before clicking the on the "seo competition" tab. Like a simple way to see if its worth looking into more detail.

2. Say i search for "Toothpaste" in MS -- and i see "Whitening Toothpaste" - i click the key next to it, to find more keywords, but instead of drilling down, and only finding words about "whitening toothpaste", the new tab results are almost exactly the same as the first. Am i doing somthing wrong?

Thanks so much to anyone who can answer these

Hey guest,

I think that you can use MS SEOTCR score to compare it to MNF's SOC. The lower the SEOTCR the better. I usually go for a score lower than 10%...

Thanks Zeb.

Wow, 10% is LOW.

I cannot find any keywords with a score as low as 10% -- or any with less then 10% are getting only 20 or 30 searches.

I wish micro niche finder had a trial.

Just to compare the SOC and the MS SEOTCR

I like Market Samurai but I just got Keyword Elite 2.0 and it is much faster. And can spy on keywords that are 3 months old.

The only way that I know how to get a promo price is through the thirty day challenge site. Here is the site: Dashboard Thirty Day Challenge (you may need to opt in first)

You can get a 40 day trial version of Market Samurai through 30 dc. While on the trial, watch for an email giving you a shot at getting Market Samurai for about $80 or $90 bucks. (as oppose to full price: $149)

**Below is my honest personal experience review about the market Samurai software**

What is Market Samurai All About?

Built on the developer platform Adobe Air and featuring a simple interface, Market Samurai is an all-in-one marketing tool ideal for anyone in the internet marketing and traffic generation industry. It is one of few keyword tools that not only work on PC but also on Mac. Market Samurai offers the following features:
SEO Competition
• Keyword Research
• Publish Content
• Ad Words
• Find Content
• Promotion
• Monetization

Market Samurai – The Good

In order to fully-appreciate the power of Market Samurai, we need to explore the main function of the software:
Keyword Research – it uses two sources, SEO Digger and Google Synonym Tool. In addition, there are two filtering options – Adwords Traffic Filter and the SEO Traffic Filter. These two filters are effective in removing keywords that are not popular. The best thing is that you can choose to add keywords manually in case you already have a set of keywords that you wanted to analyze.

There are four categories you will need to choose from after you have initially analyzed the keywords. They include:

• Organic – you can select from trends, total traffic and SEO Traffic.
• Adwords – also contains three choices: CTR, CPC and Adwords traffic.
• Competition – select from SEO competition and Adwords competition

Your choices:
• Total Traffic: Shows you how many times your keyword has been searched in major search engines
SEO Traffic: Provides rough estimate of the traffic to be expected if your keyword is number one.
• Trend: Shows the effects of seasonal traffic
• Adwords Traffic: Gives the amount of expected traffic if your ad is at the top spot.
• CTR: Gives you the click-through-rate
• CPR: Gives the value being paid by the top bidder per click
• Adwords Competition: provides data on the number of Adwords for every keyword
SEO Competition: shows how many search engine results which have the exact match for your keyword

Market Samurai – The Bad

Considering that the software is relatively new, there are still some issues that need to be resolved. Many users have complained of experiencing downtime and there are also instances when the software hangs up. The keyword monthly estimated search may not be as accurate as Google Keyword estimation tool and Wordtracker. (However this issue is now likely to happen due to the continue upgrade of the software)

Who is it for?

The software is designed to provide internet marketers with an effective tool that will help in SEO, PPC and competition analysis with the end result of getting targeted traffic that is likely to convert into CPC, Adsense revenue and sales. Market Samurai is more than a keyword tool and it really eliminates the need for other online sources of market research information. It also provides marketers with the tools aimed at maximizing the potential in terms of profit offered by keywords for niche markets.

Final Rating

Market Samurai is surprisingly-efficient and quick and is recommended for marketers who are building many websites targeting a wide array of niche markets. It is comforting to see that the developers have been able to fix many bugs that the initial software had and they are constantly implementing new features. The price is quit fairly and the company will first offer a free trial copy for 12 days then the retail Price Will be $149 however they will give you a special huge discount if you have decided to purchase it during your free 12 day trial period.
I BELIEVE that anyone in internet marker MUST consider Market Samurai as one of essential Internet Marketing tools.

I have both MS and MNF and both are great. MS is much more robust in what it can do in terms of analyzing competition and the other modules it has. Some people say it is too much info (I don't agree).

The interface for MS is a little funky in terms of setting up projects etc.

The video tutorials for MS are great.

Does MS come with free lifetime upgrades or is there a fee?

What about additional modules do they cost anything?

One time payment and free upgrades for life. I have it and it is worth every penny. I got it when it first came out when it had all the bugs and it was still worth it. I love MS.

Hey guys, how much harder is it to use MS vs MNF? How much longer does it take to get the same end-results?

I've heard that MS is much more "involved" than MNF, but I'm not sure what that equates to in typical day-to-day ease of use.

Thanks...

I know there are many Legends on this forum who will think that's a dummy question, but any advice welcomed.

Hey Walt -
You can use Market Samurai to research profitable niches. There are tons of videos that show you what to do. I recommend you check out the videos at Market Samurai and the 30 Day Challenge for details, but this is a very basic overview:

Choose a keyword to research : clown suits (example)
With Market Samurai, you can generate a list of related keywords, determine the SEO traffic and competition of those keywords, and hopefully choose a long tail keyword phrase to buy a domain name for your "clown suit" website. You can also check on the other websites that are currently ranking in the top 10 in Google and see how well they are optimized for those keywords.
If you can find a keyword phrase that has HIGH SEO value, LOW competition, and other competing sites that are not optimized for your keyword, then chances are you have discovered a good niche market.
In addition to that, you can also track your site in the rankings over time with their Rank Tracker module.

I love Market Samurai and have saved SO much time and effort using this tool. I am recommending it to all new internet marketers now. It's well worth the $149 price tag, in my opinion.

I would highly recommend Market Samurai even as just a simple Keyword Research Tool. Saved me tons of time. I haven't gotten up the courage to pay for the full version yet, to be honest. I'm still new to the business and want to make sure I'll use it first.

Great tool! The best to date!

The best thing I can tell a new warrior is to try the trail. I have use thousands of dollars of keyword tools and free ones too and if your time is money well ... just give the trial a try.

I do have to come clean though. Once I have done my research and narrowed it down to a niche I still use the other tools I have purchased to help validate my research. I guess I have to justify why I purchased them.

I’ve been using Market Samurai for a while now — I don’t recall how long — and I can’t even remember what life was like before it. Before it, I used a combination of WordTracker and Keyword Elite. WordTracker is a great tool, but it requires so much clicking and digging that I rarely took advantage of my subscription. Keyword Elite used to be my tool of choice, even with its inconsistent results. I was just pleased to be able to automate the research that I didn’t mind that I very often only got a third of the data from the keywords I was querying.

LOL - do you end up finding any differences??

Market Samurai gives me a heads up when entering into a market... if I want to go for a specific keyword phrase, I just "analyze" with the SEO Competition module and see if first page is attainable. If there's something more I value at this point of my life than money is time, and MS saves many man hours.
