Best customizable WordPress theme?

I'm looking for a completely customizable WordPress theme that allows me to structure it in any way I want.

I want to use the same WP theme to build any custom design.

Does anybody know of such WP themes that exist?

I have been using DIVI by Elegant Themes and I completely love it. Fully responsive and very very very customizable.

I have also heard a lot of great things about StudioPress’s Genesis framework but I havem't tried them on my blogs so I don't know how easy they are to work with.

I've used a lot of different wp themes and for me, Enfold is the easiest to customize whichever way you like with drag and drop customizer.

I've heard good things about Divi but haven't used it before so I can't compare between the two.

If you want to customize it any way you wnat, you probably need to look more for a theme framework instead of a theme. Thesis, or the Genesis framework have good reps.

You need to know some CSS, but if you do, you can make those look pretty good.

I use Flexsqueeze, which is a very customizable theme with great support. And I have used Catalyst, but the dashboard to that loads up slower than molasses in January

If you want a theme you can customize from the ground up, do yourself a favour and look at Headway Themes....

I have used one of the free themes found at MyThemeShop, and I was impressed with it.

If your are looking for a premium theme, then they might be worth checking out.

For a single theme, I would look at the StudiioPress framework and CobaltApps Dynamik Website Builder. Learn how to use this combo and you can build anything you like .There will be a learning curve though.

I happen to own Divi through an Elegant Themes developer license and can attest that it's a great theme for getting something up quick, but you are locked into it once used.

If you're going to use a WordPress website builder, my choice would be to go with Thrive Themes and Thrive Content Builder. This is now my goto all around source.

What do you mean when you say that you are locked into the Divi Theme?

      Thanks

I think what he's trying to say is that with the Divi theme, when you create a page, that page can only be displayed with Divi using it's shortcodes. Removing Divi makes all the page's text essentially "disappear" since it's not entered into the Editor.

Exactly, and Elegant Themes has just announced that it's moving away from the Divi theme page builder incorporation and putting all their current development efforts on creating the new Divi plugin.

I believe they realized that they were headed down the wrong road trying to follow Theme Forest authors and Themify. In effect, they are taking a page from Thrive Themes.

Another vote for the genesis framework themes from studiopress. A theme that you can change to fit anything is going to be bloated and have a lot of stuff that just isn't needed on all of your sites. The genesis framework has a lot of great child themes out there and it is one of the most used frameworks, so when you have a question you get a lot of support!
